Bryson being back is a big plus. Him and Davidson fit alongside Hallberg means we might look competitive in that area again.
....but he'll play his big signings Crawford and MacPherson

The uncertainty of the pandemic probably played a big part - not knowing what the financial implications would end up being for the club. As we are traditionally frugal this may have been overdone at the start of the season - with the club trying to make up for things at the January window. Anyway, whatever the cause a really bad outcome.

Too easy for Ross County in the end.

Away from refs/injuries - the best way for Saints to combat these issues would be to actually go and try and kill of a game when we have a lead. Two games in the bounce we’ve been ahead and only taken one point. Two games in a row the game was there to be won and we’ve chosen to sit in and been undone - albeit both times by highly dubious penalties.
Leaving Middleton and Crawford on alongside May and shelling it long for half an hour was criminal. Surely that was exactly the situation Bair - an absolute unit of a guy - was brought in for?
I can't help but feel that Davidson's tactics are to protect himself and to avoid getting the sack - rather than being ambitious, playing to win and avoiding relegation.

Middleton playing well...

outside Clark, Hallberg and probably Hendry (maybe Cleary) there's not really any nailed-on starters IMO.
Crawford surely ... sigh...

alternative to Crawford
Davidson signed him. It looks like he's going to stick with him through thick or thin.

We're sticking with Davidson. I don't think there are any questions over that. Wouldn't surprise me if he has been told he is the man to bring us back up if we go down.
Very disappointing performance tonight - but not unexpected with Davidson at the helm. Why would anyone think he has what it takes to get us back up after this disaster of a season?

When you watch Man City now and compare it to a mid ranking Scottish Premier League game, it’s like a completely different sport.
Personally, I'd still rather watch any Scottish mid ranking game to anything England offers.

Why do players not stand up and argue for a shape change? They can surely feel it's not working. Do they not have squad meetings FFS?
Maybe that's what E2 did??

"Hendry came on and did everything I expect from a striker ... well, apart from score goals..." Its the Davidson way

“We need two or three more. I need players who are going to fight because it’s going to be a tough few months.”
Signs Crawford ... then today “Cammy MacPherson has agreed a pre-contact with us so St Mirren recalled him. “He played well the other night at Hearts so we will try to get something done." Based on one half decent game in which we were well beaten??
Disturbing ....

Shocking, but not unexpected.

Splurging a quarter of a million on him rather than just pushing for a PCA and loan/permanent deal just plain don't make sense.
Desperation makes you reckless

If he was to leave tomorrow personally I would be struggling outside of Macca taking over.
He's done nothing to improve our teams scoring ability since hes been a coach

He’s fantastic at the club and feels like a natural successor to the manager at some point down the line.

I'll be very disappointed if a decent midfielder isn't signed soon.
I thought we signed Crawford....

The true fact is we would not be in this position if we had signed a couple of average even strikers before the start of the season. We had everything in our favour then not now.
There can be no argument on this.Surely its Davidson's system that's contributing to the ineffective strikers - bringing in some average strikers probably isn't going to change anything.

You've signed a CH from the Irish league, who as far as I can see, doesn't even have a wikipedia page.

Didn't Macpherson just have surgery on his groin? He'll be unavailable for a while (thankfully...)

Could be he's trying to justify an expensive signing
