He seems a lot more upbeat than most of the support in that interview on Sky.

My reading of the comments earlier were that he didn’t think Motherwell’s goals came from beating us tactically - ie it wasn’t a flowing passing move or overwhelming us with an overload down a wing or something that got the ball in the net, which is probably fair enough. But I don’t think our tactics really helped us at the other end one little bit.
I'm glad for Davidson that we are not getting beaten tactically. Personally I would prefer us not to be beaten by goals scored by the opposition..

Well played Motherwell ... we were shocking (as usual)

Aye. Completely pointless player. For every decent pass there's about 5 where he's handed it straight to an opponent.
his corners are shocking too...

Obviously you won’t see or read much about Saints, but it’s been a main topic of conversation on our thread for months.
Make that years....

However, there’s a reason Maclean is his assistant. I think it’s clear he’d be taking over.As hes done so well with our attack and getting the goals going in....

We've battered County a few times over the past few seasons and not won, so the chances are high that County spend 90 minutes creating and missing chances only to see us score the winner off Shaun Rooneys arse.
We can dream....

Have we ever won the flick on from a Shaun Rooney long throw? It looks like a tactic we feel we have to use because he's got that ability, but we saunter forward without any real belief it's going to amount to anything.
One of the many ways we consistently give the ball away.

A lot of Saints fans see Dundee as a rival, but to Dundee fans even care about St Johnstone?
Once their sharing our ground - the Perth derbies will become something of legend

I do however think McCart would benefit from a few games out of the team. He has been pretty rank for a while now and was truelly truelly awful on Saturday.
Yet, many people seem to think he will be off to pastures new (Hibs) after this season. Perhaps not the case?

Both teams should consider other occupations.....

Looked like they had more players on the park than us.... Shocking 1st half.

Tommy Wright is coming under sustained criticism for the first time at Killie after yesterday. Yes, we are second in the league, but the general opinion is that the football is eye bleeding and that we have just squeaked some of our wins. He has easily the biggest budget and this is his team, but we appear to have no plan and he rarely seems to change games with his decisions. What the Saints view, given his outstanding record with yourselves? Should we be patient?
I think he just squeaked a lot of wins for us. But 3 points is 3 points....

The two in centre midfield need to do more, there's no finesse to their play and they're often bypassed. The ball has been in the air far too much this season, we need to mix it up a lot more as it's repetitive and easy to play against, unless your Aberdeen or Hibs that is.
I agree. Too much hoofing it up the park hoping for a forward to do something miraculous, rather than the passing build up we had last season.

If we do sign Crawford in January that will say all we need to know about Davidson as a manager.
