  1. just to emphasise we,re obviously from the same type of football background, in my area last week alone 1 amateur team folded 2 youth teams folded, 1 amateur club couldn,t raise a team and a junior club are screaming for players to the extent its unlikely they,ll finish the season and I know the same is happening in other areas as well. my football experience at present takes me all over the country following the familys next generation of footballers and all I see on my travels are empty pitches. I appreciate many people still give time to run teams but unless they are given a more competitive and less restricted environment to work in the purpose will defeat the effort. the facts cant be ignored, football is dying and although the old system was by no means perfect it produced footballers at all levels. I think the way forward is to park the bus and compare the old with the new and pick the best of both worlds before we get past the point of no return but then who is going to take the responsibility. just a word on the pyramid, pyramid clubs that run more than one team or multiple teams register all their players on the same form meaning an under 15 can play for any of the older teams including the senior team without being penalised. further the pyramid is open to any junior/amateur/youth team provided they can meet the basic ground criteria and I,m all in favour of it eventually encompassing the whole of Scottish football.
  2. there has always been a rule preventing players registered with the syfa playing for amateur /junior teams but no one ever enforced it until the dutch guru mark wotte arrived as sfa performance director and insisted that all registered youths should only play in their own age group and only for one team. the senior clubs threw out the own age group bit and the sjfa negotiated a dual contract arrangement with the syfa. for unknown reasons the syfa and the safa cannot agree on the issue, in the meantime youths are being lost to the game at an alarming rate, amateur football is in serious decline and the grassroots system introduced by mark wotte, needs ripped up and binned. true to form with people who interfere with things they know nothing about he ran to morocco before the shit hit the pan. I noted today the morroccans didn,t get brainwashed they terminated his contract. enough said.
  3. im already in it. note in the new structure now being discussed the Tayside teams are not now going north. funny how a line can move when it suits
  4. if you cant take it mate don't give IT. there are no Tayside teams going north. end of.
  5. at school they,ll teach you that aberfeldy is in Tayside. geographical fact.
  6. strikes me that people out with Tayside should go back to school and take a geography lesson.
  7. the Tayside clubs are NOT going north en bloc. only MUPPETS that suggest it would do that and theres plenty of them on here.
  8. please be aware Tayside clubs are not going north, and the highland and north east clubs are not going Tayside. they all know it would be logistical madness to even consider any merger between these two regions. study the map guys and add up the miles, its not rocket science and easy to see why other more sensible options are being considered.
  9. the trouble on here is a lot of posts on here are determined to push Tayside teams into the highland catchment area when its obviously completely impractical. luncarty took 2and3/4 hours on a bus to reach elgin for an sjfa cup tie. breadalbanes nearest game would be in inverness 123 miles to the north whereas they are within easy reach of perth/Dundee or fife for that matter.
  10. breadalbane=aberfeldy=Perthshire=Tayside=erjfa/Tayside senior league=commonsense. contrary to opinion aberfeldy is nowhere near anybody in the HL, map wise it sits south of the tay as does luncarty and is no more than an hour from Dundee.
  11. breadalbane,s application to join the juniors never reached the ERJFA agm simply because the junior officials led by john reilly decided it was geographically unsuitable for their own clubs and quite simply nit picked to block the application. breadalbane since commissioned a health and safety report and have had visits from the sfa licencing officer cammy watt, both upholding the application as valid. breadalbane are gearing up again, new perimeter fencing has been installed, pitch has had a 11,000 upgrade and in the spring new dugouts and socketed goalposts will be in place and along with our portable stands we will be in a position to apply for an entry licence. before anybody asks we have floodlights as well as our own training area. if we reapply under this come and join us advert any bets on the outcome?
