  1. Dangana will at least be remembered for that winner v Bonnyrigg. Not sure Antoniazzi really contributed anything of note. Didn't really get a chance in fairness.
  2. I also have a feeling Clyde will come good this weekend. I can't remember us winning many games away to Clyde over the years and playing in two close games the last few days may have an impact. I'd probably pick the same team as Tuesday, that's our strongest just now for me.
  3. Decent game in Tullos. BOD competed well (first half in particular) but lacked the quality of Brechin going forward. I was impressed with the two goalscorers for Brechin, Louden in particular. Hoban made a real mess of what looked an easy enough save for the equaliser. Good support up from Brechin, pretty angry bunch though.
  4. Heading to Spain Park tonight. Expecting a Brechin win, BOD were pretty dire when I saw them v Huntly last month and Brechin have been relentless so far.
  5. I thought Draper might be used more sparingly this season with Murray and Girvan (who I thought would be mostly used as a centre half) coming in but he's been excellent. Dolzanski has been our most consistent player since Hale came in IMO. Rarely loses a header and seems to make an absurd amount of last ditch tackles when others have slipped up.
  6. I thought we maybe just edged it but a low scoring draw is probably pretty reflective of how that game went. Both teams were comfortable in possession without looking like creating much, especially in the first half. The second was more entertaining. Sargeant should've scored with the best chance of the first half but I thought he was pretty lively and justified his start. Draper was very good again. Glavin looked a bit flappy at crosses and I'm not sure about the goal he conceded (I'd need to see it back) but made a good save from Ritchie near the end. Dajon isn't firing just now, last season he beat his man 80% of the time but in recent weeks he's rarely been able to hold onto the ball without being dispossesed. Hopefully a goal comes soon and gives him a boost. I'm running out of superlatives for Jack Murray. An outstanding player who we've done very well to bring to the club.
  7. I was away on Saturday so I'm gutted I missed that last few minutes. Those late goals will hopefully give us a real boost. Spartans are possibly our toughest test so far in the league. Their league form has been mixed but they've recruited really well after a very strong season last year and their cup results show the quality they have. Hopefully the long journey midweek and the potential distraction of their game at Pittodrie on Saturday give us an advantage.
  8. Tam McHale out long term. Hale is wanting an emergency loan with Kelly out until Christmas too.
  9. 1-1 makes that game sound more entertaining than it was. It's normally the same v Forfar in fairness so not sure why I expected any different. I rarely comment on officials but thought they were barely any better than the two sets of players. Some bizarre decisions but fortunately there was such limited action in either box that they had no major decisions to make. For me we are still too direct. I understand Dajon causes problems for any defence in this league but I think we look better when we get it down and play. Jack Murray the pick of the bunch for me again today, he is an outstanding footballer. I'd be surprised if he's with us for the duration of his contract tbh, surely a team at a higher level will be willing to pay a fee for him at some point.
  10. Went along to Spain Park tonight, felt like close to half the crowd were Huntly fans. I was impressed with them, they've lost a lot of players in recent times but they defended well and posed a real threat on the counter. Thought Robertson led the line well and Grant is a player. Reynolds and Cooney at the back for Dee, wow. Absolutely stinking.
  11. I saw a stat the other day that in the 5 games between the teams last season there were only 6 goals. And 5 of those goals came in the last two games. I think we'll win this one 2-0, Jack Murray to continue his charge towards the League 2 Golden Boot from centre half and Dylan Gavin to score too.
  12. Each team won one home game and one away fixture against the opposition from the 4 matches last season. I think I'd probably take a point on this occasion. Stranraer have had a tough start playing three of the favourites for the top 4 so far and I think will pull away from the current bottom two with time. It'll be interesting to see how Robbie Foster does after his dad tried desperately to get his son a move to Elgin. Will he be marked by the player involved in the longest distance transfer within Scottish football (maybe) in Kyle Girvan or his ex Huntly team mate Lyall Booth? I'm going 2-2, Dajon Golding and Jack Murray to score for City.
  13. Had some decent games early on as a centre back but as said above was mostly used at left back and generally struggled. I thought his first touch was pretty terrible at times but may have been a confidence thing as both player and team were in brutal form. I presume he did well at Huntly otherwise I doubt he'd be going up two levels.
  14. Good start to the season for Adedire Mebude. Started all three games, he scored, got an assist and motm on Saturday. His team Westerlo are top of the league too. Only recently turned 20 and given the Euros showed how badly in need of wingers we are he could be of interest to Clarke in the future.
  15. Good start to the season, we don't win our first two games very often. I'm a bit disappointed our game is off next weekend as I think there would've been a big crowd behind us after the start we've made. Spartans travelling up on a Tuesday night is probably less than ideal for them however.
