  1. Tonight its going to finally click for the Caley after all these dire games this season and we will absolutely batter Morton by 4 goals at least. Dunc will say its a testament to the hard work that its finally all come together (justifying why he deserves another shot at this next year) while Dougie will say who fucking cares its a dead rubber for them and we are all away for our all inclusives.

  2. If Dunc is being paid handsomely and not from the club coffers, then can we summise he was given the role based on connections that allow for the Jan recruitment bringing in players who we probably pay little or nothing for and cutting costs elsewhere. The fact its heavily skewed to defenders may point that this was all of what is on offer with minimal outlay towards parent clubs.

From the above comments the finances of the club are disassociated form those paying the manager it should be assumed any source paying Dunc directly must be getting returns elsewhere through alternate ventures that justify those costs or means to write them off. Which again probably isn't an avenue open to the club, so its possibly not a simple as saying that source should give the club Β£5k pw as it may not be offset/feasible.

First point of order post season should be restructuring of the club costs though looking at the top down where optimisations can be brought in - we have a lot of directors/board members/senior management beyond requirements at this level where it can be argued minimal return for their positions.

  3. Positive news. What we need now isΒ  transparent strategy for how any funds would be invested to provide opportunity for return and sustainability. We know there will be need to service debts but beyond that time and planning needs to be undertaken. If this involves an additional board member with credentials in building business and managing funds then it may well be a worthy investment, however we currently appear 'top heavy' at this level with limited returns and I'm not sure I trust those in charge.

The short-term strategy of loans results in paying players (part of full contributions) with no prospect of return wont work for long, there needs a better recruitment strategy than we have seen over the last few years with planning to engage and develop the right talent such that we can get a return on those investments.Β

Any cash injections into the club has to work to capitalise on opportunities to increase revenue and footfall through directed investment in the right areas or clear strategy, This must all work to make us better not just for next season but for the future.
