  1. A significant amount of people signed the initial letter, including me, as the club was at rock bottom in terms of communication and decision making at that point. It does bother me slightly though that they are continuing to release these open letters under the assumption that all the people that previously signed off on the first one still feels the same way. I have been pretty impressed and happy with the way the club has responded since the first letter. On another note I'm kind of happy that Mackay has left but I appreciate what he done with the club in the promotion season. I think Mcghee leaned on his opinion when he first came in that still seen the likes of Mcghee playing in centre midfield etc and I wouldn't want Bowyer relying on the same sort of advice. Fresh start for everybody is good.
  2. Gowser is that angry a man it'll all fall out during the first bollocking he gives to a ref...
  3. This sort of thing is the worst when it happens with families and extended families as you are tied to them. If it was a friend or someone else you know who display this sort of behaviour they'd be thrown in to the sea as far you could possibly do so. I have plenty of this pish going on in my own family and also my wifes family. It can be excruciatingly tiring.
  4. He put up a photo of him in pre-season training on his social media...I was going to say a big lump like him will be exactly what we need in the championship but I distinctly remember him making himself smaller any time he went to header a ball.
  5. Wonder whether the likes of Cillian Sheridan and Niall Mcginn will be staying? Doubt they'd want to play in the championship but I can't exactly see where their next move is either..
  6. Play maker is essential for me now that we've lost the creativity of Adam
  7. Well now that we have a manager, a kit and we know who and when we are playing...it would be good to get some players in. It'll be interesting to see who we bring in and whether Bowyer will look back down South for some gems or rely on the opinion of others within the club when it comes to signing Scottish players. Where does everyone think we need to strengthen as a priority? I think left back, right back and another central midfielder.
  8. Mcpake wouldn't have kept us up. It's all hypothetical but we just simply didn't pick up enough points under Mcpake and he probably stayed longer then he should have. Mcghee is gone, we have a new manager in place. Time to get behind him and see it as a change from the norm....we have an experienced manager outwith the Scottish circles. That, for me, is pretty refreshing.
  9. Sure it isn't the dad of the guy from BT last week? I'm happy with that appointment.
  10. I'd be pleased with this. It's a relative unknown for me which is exciting and hopefully he looks outwith the Scottish bubble for players. He seems like an experienced coach. Think it's time to let the idea of Jack Ross go now - if it was going to happen it would have by now.
  11. I thought it would have been beneficial for the club to get in a manager to start his work the week after Mcghee was sacked. To take stock of what he has, where he needs to strengthen etc. I suppose whatever manager that comes in won't get a feel for the players at his disposal currently as pre-season is 3(?) weeks away so there may not be a massive rush to get someone appointed. Does f**k all for our nerves though.
  12. I just can't see why he would announce it at this time if it weren't to take up the Dundee job? Unless I'm being dense, I can't think of any other clubs that are looking for a manager right now?
  13. Let it be Tommy Wright. Massive club deserves a massive manager. No fat grass at Dens. Thank you.
  14. I would prefer Thomson over Maloney though there is no justifiable reason for that as they are essentially at the same point in their managerial careers...
  15. We were sleepwalking to relegation with Mcpake. The timing of the sacking made it curious after two wins but I've no doubt the outcome would have been the exact same whether it was Mutley or Mcpake in charge. As a side note I noticed people have said on here that TSES have already fallen out with Nelms...whats that all about?
  16. Wouldn't be surprised if Nelms announced Billy Dodds at this rate..
  17. I don't think the mess at hibs was exclusively his fault. I agree that he shouldn't be a serious candidate though. Happy to be proven wrong if he does join.
  18. Seems like a lot is still to be decided then! the first two points are fair enough but he can't sit on his other offers forever and I hope Dundee don't wait around too long.
  19. Papers saying Dundee want a manager in place for the weekend. If that's to be believed there will be an announcement at some point today...hopefully.
  20. There's been plenty this season as a Dundee fan - mostly to do with Mcghee opening his stupid fat mouth. Mcpake playing Jason Cummings on the wing before shipping him off to Australia needs to get a mention too.
  21. Strachan has already played his Mcghee card so probably John Robertson or something...
  22. I guess if he opts to go there as an assistant then he was never sure of being the main man again. If that's the case then he's done us a favour. I still reckon it will be him, though.
  23. Hopefully he doesn't take the team to Alton Towers pre-season...
