His hair pleats are so tight they're pulling his feet out of his boots and upsetting his balance.

With a big majority at WM they have the opportunity to do this.
Opportunity and giving a f**k are two different things, of course.

Having her as deputy leader is a dreadful look for a country that would like to be seen as forward thinking.
I was going to make some comment about Starmer chumming along with the French far-right and all his other tripe and u-turns, but I was scuppered by the forward thinking country bit.

But you don’t need to acknowledge it in advance imo.
Exactly this. No need to go anywhere that issue in that way but many ways to answer it in a more reasoned fashioned. Poor media awareness, very naive or very dangerous?
@Leith Green nails it

Starmer is a dangerous man, and he's going to be worse in about a week's time.

Sir Keir Starmer said he would be willing to work with Marine Le Pen's far-right party if it wins the French election, saying "that's what serious government is about".
That's Labour. Labour.

Can't argue with that. Still, Sir Keith's going to re-light the fire of optimism and hope in the country, so that's good. And if I can figure out just what that means ...

'This country is a better place to live now than it was in 2010,' Sunak says'.
Fucking deluded.

I know someone in Sweden who is married to a Tanzanian woman who votes (or at least used to) Swedish Democrats, who are actually originally a nazi party unlike some of the other far-right parties Europe. I genuinely believe he is thick enough to believe that his wife/children will not be targeted if they actually were to win.
That's a depressing story. Maybe shows how a dreadful ideology can dupe folks. And I hope he never has to deal with any targeting.

Being anti-establishment has become a confusing arena, anarchists love Trump who's as property owning upper class capitalist as you can get, but he gives huge tax cuts to billionaires, which winds up the libs, so he's cool. And blaming foreigners for everything that's wrong is much easier than finding ways to make things work better.
Great stuff. Things are so mixed up right enough, but that's just the arena the far-right loves.

This rise of the far-right here and across Europe. Are the bawheids who are in favour of this rise and actively support it, think this is a new cuddly sort of fascism or are they so fucking stupid they don't know or understand how these movements end? Rant over .

Being unable to see any of the Dundee guid pubs on the march to the Wine Press, then complaining that they don't have any Bordeaux wines before loudly discussing the merits of 'fine cheese'.

Probably get double Tesco card points if you catch it, though. Who'd have thought Tesco putting the squeeze on suppliers so it can cut prices would lead to this. I'm shocked.

That's a wee doubler for me in the GSTQ thread. Boy must be a star at a magazine word search.

There was a guy in one of the lounges at Edinburgh airport this morning, wearing a kilt and a classic Germany number 10 top. Quite a good combo, imo.

Saw that. Everything else aside is there any of these polls predicting Reform will get more MPs elected than the Tories?
Or any MPs elected?
I'd be surprised and horrified if they get anything other than blanket coverage. It's the constant drip, drip of his poison that can slowly seep into the mainstream coupled with a constant media presence - without being challenged - that's probably more dangerous than any MP presence, though.

ffs, now he's saying he's leader of the opposition and demanding a debate with Starmer. Farage lost in the fog of deception, lies and outright pish. A dangerous, dangerous man.
I would also very much like to do a debate head-to-head with Keir Starmer and the reason is very simple. We think that this should be the immigration election because whether we are talking about rents, whether we are talking about housing availability... there is no aspect of our national life that is not touched by the massive population crisis this country now faces.”
