Injury update for tonight? Predictions, hopes, fears etc?

On last point, it’s probably best to wait and see what happens against the league’s top teams before we get way too excited. It’s been a great run, but three games against the bottom half teams, Montrose maybe with an eye on the cup, and very close against airdrie. Don’t want to be negative but real test is over the next two games.

Everything went right tonight. Even on a really minor level, I’d say it’s better to have Montrose as fifth than East Fife!

Really impressed with Bell, particularly his passing. Quite a while since we’ve had decent passes played from the back.

Based on quick view of post split fixtures, it might be better to finish third rather than second (pre split). Assuming it was close enough in terms of points.

Are Montrose really going to go easy on this game for the sake of the cup? Seems like they really need the points.

Is there going to be rotation tomorrow? Players did look tired, although there will be a short break till next game. Could easily swap full backs, bring in Gordon for SB/RD and presumably Rudden starts?

Two games running where we’ve been quite drab in first half. Wonder if it’s a response to losing so many early goals. Quite noticeable how many of our goals have come in second half.

Changing the centre backs worries me, as would resting Graham! Perhaps Docherty could sit out against Clyde, maybe Murray also.

If you think that some rotation is required (maybe it is, maybe it isn’t) then presumably the stronger team is needed for Montrose on Thursday. Who do you think could be safely rested on Tuesday?

1. Docherty and Bannigan aren’t working together in midfield, one should be sacrificed. 2. ZR is awful. 3. Difficult to suggest the players aren’t as fit as opponents as we’re finishing games stronger - it’s the opening portion that’s the problem. 4. JC is one of our best players. 5. Sneddon inspires no confidence. 6. Time to give Sena a break from the team. 7. Beat Peterhead and Clyde and we’ll definitely be top 5.

Absolutely crazy that we’ll be four points off first if (IF) we win game in hand. The fact that we are where we are is shameful here.

Tomorrow night’s game may be the most important before the split.

Team selection was daft tonight. I understand changing the forward players, but not the defence.

Yes, I’d agree with this, he actually brought some urgency to the flanks. I actually think we are ok with Graham and MacIver up front. They had absolutely nothing to go on, so can’t blame them for saturday. The issue has to be the amount of chances which Penrice, Murray, Gordon and Bannigan created. If you wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt (I wouldn’t), they were frequently bypassed by long balls from the defence (not accurate ones). Maybe that shows a lack of faith in them. Murray has to be dropped and Penrice should only ever play LB.

Preferred starting line up for tomorrow?

I was pretty shocked by how down he seemed about everything.

Don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say that these first two games will probably define what’s left of the season!

Does the 22 game season proposal include play-offs?

Is anyone still injured? Is Rudden still suspended?

No way is this season getting finished if there’s no training till at least the start of March.
