The police take pictures on their wee camaras and then turn up at their doors and work place.
Identifing individuals giving them warnings then ban them if they continue.

Mate, just call it for what it is, even though it's your teams fans doing it. Scummy, dangerous behaviour. You would rightly call it out for that if it happened at Celtic Park with a large away support doing exactly the same thing.

Loathe as I am to defend Celtic or their fans I will say that it's incredible that Police Scotland could block a fire exit like that in this day and age after multiple stadium disasters in the UK.

Now, yes, of course the police and us watching that video both know what Green Brigade / Bhoys were up to there, but does that give you a right to block off a fire exit? Very slippery slope.

    So the Police either

    a) let them boot the door open and additional fans flock into an already busy area of the stand, with the potential crush issues etc.. that could cause. Because the Police don't have the numbers or ability to prevent that once the door is open. Remind you of any event that happened in the 80's. Get it's not standing, numbers are different etc but the potential is there.

    b) Stop them doing that

    Police can't win.

And why don’t the police let them open it and then grab them and don’t let them back in, surely there must be police on the inside that can assist.

You ever been to a Celtic away game?

Police and stewards don't Police or manage them as is. This mythical "open it and grab them" is fantasy land. The only time that would happen would be if one of the wee diddy teams were trying it.

Let's be frank the Police only Police the smaller teams away fans the rest get to do what they like. Pathetic state of affairs but everyone, including the green brigade are well aware of it.

Will it take a disaster for the behaviour to stop, probably. But then it will be somebody elses fault. No responsibility will be taken whatsoever. All pretty pathetic tbh.

The bill that the Westminster Government are trying to impose on away fans is intended to help deal with this type of behaviour. All the arse cheeks manage by doing this, and other scummy behaviour at away games, time after time are giving them more ammunition to impose it, or even ban away fans all together. Something that Celtic fans in particular say is killing the atmosphere at the old firm games. The **** are doing for a different reason I know.

If this is going to be a regular thing we really need to tighten up security or even close the bottom tier when the OF come to town at least for the next couple of games.

Or the police start doing their jobs.

Problem is they are moaning about not getting an away allocation to the old firm games, this kind of scum behaviour continues they'll be getting reduced allocations to all games.

Also if there is some kind of incident due to a crush caused by people forcing their way in, they will take zero reponsibilty it will all be somebody else's fault.

  5. Obviously gutted by the result and how it unfolded. Strangely happy by the performance. Guess that's the capability you get to win games at the death with the players you have available and the money you can spend.

Both beat us I know but Rangers and Celtic fans must be capable of being honest enough to admit, by their expectations and standards, that they are both incredibly poor teams at the moment.

  6. Another game leaving feeling positive but gutted at the same time. Boys so deserved something today with the effort and skill they put into the game.

Such poor rangers and Celtic team's so should have taken something from both games.

Hope the person in the Cooper that was being given CPR is ok, so sorry to see that and them being ok the only thing that matters tonight.

  7. Mental how this has evolved following a dodgy tackle in a cup game.

Never really thought about or cared about St.Mirren in any shape or form. Just felt they were a similar club to our own, existing in a town/city on the periphery of Glasgow with fans with the ability to not fall into the usual following of the old firm.

Hopefully it will go back to that soon enough, as it's getting more than a bit dull now.

  8. Fair play to St.Mirren. No real complaints, you can claim to be the better team, or play the better football but there is only one stat that really matters...

Strange feeling losing a game but not feeling too dispondant, and I'm actually looking forward to the rest of the season and getting our first choice 11 starting once they are all back from injury as see what this team are fully capable of.

As others have said very similar to the make up of the team and style of play we witnessed under Robinson. He took us to two cup finals. So he definitely is doing something right and will have learned from previous mistakes, as all decent managers should do. Really liked Robinson and was sorry to see him go, but had ran out of ideas so was best for both parties, and I felt he left in the best possible terms.

Enjoy the ride. Doesn't happen to clubs like ours too often or last very long, the realist's amoungst us are always aware that it is only a matter of time until normal service is resumed.

To those saying there’s nothing more painful than a wet, cold, heavy Mitre Mouldmaster smacking you in the baws’ on a freezing winter’s day on a blaes pitch in the 1970’s, during school P.E. with you being sent out in sub-zero temperatures while wearing cheap black gutties and wafer-thin shorts and a top….. I was going to suggest reading the St Mirren v Dundee thread again. However, while it was bad, it cannot compare to the Mouldmaster scenario. Been there. Done that. Johnstone High, 1974-1978. Prime era mouldmaster/blaes/get fcuking out there or you’re getting six of it, and it’s Mr Steele, who can really draw it.

Now I could say ‘didn’t do me any harm’…. Anyone got a nail brush handy? Just discovered a bit of embedded blaes in my right leg. Wondered why it was sore.

Used to play in goals at the old Watsonvile blaes park where the new ASDA is. Nothing like diving about on a frozen near concrete surface, the pain of the toed ball getting smacked off of you, and to add to the experience staving your finger trying to catch the fucker mouldmaster when it was fired at you. Yeah good times....Watsonville also had a nice sprinkling of smashed buckie bottles to avoid as well. Scrubbling out of the grazes was essential given that combo afterwards.

Honestly surprised Ketts has done well for you (but pleased, he was a player and manager I always liked),

I guess like any one of us in our working life's you gain experience, learn from your mistakes and put that into practice when given another opportunity. Think the big thing has been him coming into the club at a fortunate time for us and being readiliy available to take over from Hammell when he had us in freefall. Kettlewell would at least have been aware of what we had, what the issues were and have enought managerial experience to know in his own mind how he might fix it rather than someone else coming in cold.

I've seen that Ayunga challenge mentioned a few times by the B&W celtic shop mob, I've got to be honest I was expecting a stinking tackle. I got the opposite.

Yeah the challenge where he goes in on the defender, fouls him, and knackers himself at the same time the ref awarding a foul to the defender. Possibly the worst example of whataboutery on here for a while.

If he's left himself with his post-Van Veen forward options as those 2 lads on Saturday + Obika, then he might be back doing "Open All Mics" in the not too distant future.

Well we did have another forward option....

Hopefully he has some other options up his sleeve but can't really see where they are going to come from and not sure many clubs are going to be keen to loan someone to us given what happened to the last one. But agree we are in an incredibly poor position especially up front with around 50% of our new signings crocked, no big surprise given the injury record of some of our signings.

But hey I don't want you guys losing too much sleep or worrying about us too much.

If everyone is fit, I would imagine Saturday's team will be the same team that started against Hibs, with hopefully some new options from the bench. Don't see us moving away from 3-5-2.

After the chasni pie, I'd like to see a more bold tactical move from the catering staff, perhaps moving to a South Indian garlic chilli based snack.

Agree, he'll go back to what worked in the first game and what worked last season. Minus any real forward threat to come off the bench since Mika has been crocked. Mad how your optimism can go backwards so much following one poor game.

In my book SK was entitled to try something a bit different in this game with the league, and remaining in it, being the main focus. As it is every year, at least at the start of the season. He hasn't done much wrong so far so still have massive faith in the guy.

Time for the forwards we have to step up and also to get some pace back in the team especially with the full backs. Hopefully he is still looking to get some others in as well, especially a body to replace Mika. I'm guessing that he will go back to his parent club to recover?
