  1. Ha ha scumbags! GIRUY Neil Lennon works his magic! [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
  2. Jamie Vardy excelled in being isolated! Let the opposition have possession, win it, break and score! I reckon we have the players to pull this off. 3rd place minimum! [emoji1]
  3. Would be good to get a centre half in due to Mack’s injury record. I genuinely believe we could challenge for 3rd spot this season.
  4. All down to having a Director of Football who has done a tremendous job! [emoji106][emoji12]
  5. But better than every other centre half we have which is the point
  6. The Scottish centre half playing at the highest level is Grant Hanley Surely a recall for the next squad
  7. That being the case, I’d like to see us sign a centre half and a striker! [emoji1]
  8. If the issue is that the strikers are injury prone then we should have signed someone without an injury record rather than Obika. And I can’t see another club lending us one of their youth players to sit on our bench just in case all 3 of our strikers are unavailable! With regards to Breadner, wingers can play as a striker, particularly if we have no-one else! Loads of guys who start out as wingers end up as strikers. Thierry Henry, Robin Van Persie and Kevin Gallagher being classic examples! I’m sure one of our other attacking players can play striker in an emergency! They’d probably be better than some inexpensive youth who probably won’t even make it! Back in the Tommy Craig season we put Kenny McLean up front and he ended up scoring a few which won his move to Aberdeen. I don’t see us signing another striker!
  9. As most wingers these days are inverted and cut inside to shoot as opposed to going down the wing, a right footed left back would be better able to defend. Full backs are primarily defenders and this should be the main focus rather focusing on their attacking abilities. It seems that football has evoked in an attacking sense by using inverted wingers but is still stuck in the past with regards to defending against them. Even in an attacking sense though, cutting inside to deliver an inswinging cross is more dangerous than an outswinging cross.
  10. I keep seeing posts about us needing another striker. We play with 1 striker up front. We have 3 on the books, albeit 1 is injured. Obika and Mullen would appear to me to be the 2 guys who will be competing for that 1 starting slot. Do we really need another striker just to sit on the bench or just in case all 3 of the strikers we currently have are missing? If we had a situation where all 3 were out then I’d imagine we could use Durmus, McAllister or Djorkaeff as a striker. Even Celtic only have 2 recognised strikers on the books yet our fans want us to have 4? I think the real issue is that fans just don’t believe that Obika will be very good and they don’t rate Mullen. If we’d signed some top prolific goal scorer then I don’t think anyone would be calling for a 4th striker. Fans will just need to accept that Obika and Mullen are the 2 strikers we have fighting for that 1 position!
  11. As per my earlier post, we didn’t have a natural left back from 1981 to 1987. Despite this we still managed to win the Scottish Cup, reach 4 other major Semi Finals, qualify for Europe twice and finish top 6 several times! On that basis I think we’ll manage with just the one natural left back!
  12. McBurnie commanded that fee from an English Premiership club because he was good enough to score a shit load of goals in the Championship for a mid table side. Griffiths has never commanded such a fee because he failed to even make the grade in League One and he can’t get a regular game against League One standard sides in Scotland!
  13. He was on the bench before he left Wolves. A number of his goals were penalty kicks and they were runaway league leaders. If Wolves had wanted to keep him they would have. He wasn’t good enough so they got shot.
  14. Celtic’s success is based on the exploitation of sectarianism, hatred and violence. A disgusting club supported by the dregs of society. [emoji1]
  15. [emoji3] Actually, it was my brother’s wife who got the story. She was getting her hair done sitting next to John Couglin’s missus. Coughlin’s missus got a call from Coughlin while at the hairdressers to say that Hendrie had just been sacked and that he was next in. Coughlin’s missus tells my brother’s wife, she immediately texts my brother and he immediately posts it in b&w army. All within 5 minutes! The best one was selling Love Street. My brother, div and me completely made up that story at a game away to St Johnstone and decided to post it. Turned out to be true! My brother ended up getting a call from Gilmour to find out who the leak was! [emoji1] And my my wife at the time wasn’t a hairdresser but I’m getting married again soon.... to a hairdresser. Hopefully get some more exclusives!
  16. Griffiths is playing Champions League qualifiers from the bench. All manner of tin pot clubs from small countries are playing Champions League qualifiers. McBurnie is a £20m striker playing in the English Premiership against the likes of Man United, Liverpool and Chelsea. Griffiths failed to make the grade in English League One and is now plying his trade as a sub against Hamilton, Livingston and St Mirren. There is no question that McBurnie is a far better player. As for being first pick, not only is McBurnie first pick, he literally has no competition.
  17. Do we actually need a left footed left back? Back in the day, when Iain Munro left, we just moved Alex Beckett over to left back. We then replaced him with Steve Clarke at left back. When Tommy Wilson got done in by Ally Dawson at Ibrox, we moved Clarke over to the right and signed another right back, Derek Hamilton, to play on the left. We managed to win the Scottish Cup, reach 4 other major Semi Finals, qualify for Europe and finish in the top 6 a few times with that set up! The great Aberdeen and Dundee United sides of the early 80s used right footed left backs, Rougvie and Malpas. Indeed, Dundee United won the league and almost reached the European Cup Final without any left footed players! In this day and age of inverted wingers, inverted full backs are the way forward!
  18. McBurnie made a handful of sub appearances in the Premier League as a kid. What makes him international quality is that he’s our best striker!
  19. The same fools who ridiculed Martin are likely the same ones ridiculing McBurnie. But it’s irrelevant really. It’s your second paragraph that matters. There is no competition to McBurnie. And don’t give me Griffiths. He’s a failed League One striker!
  20. All the goals he scored in the Championship shows that he’s worth it!
  21. Mackenzie is always getting injured and Baird is squad player standard. For these reasons, a new centre half would be good.
  22. Do the Kilmarnock fans still sing their imitation of a sectarian song?
  23. 10 goals in 36 appearances in his first season with Swindon and 12 in 35 in his second. Half decent. 6 in 31 in his last season with them as they finished bottom of League One. 7 in 41 in his first season with an Oxford side that finished 16th.
