I take on board the comments but let them worry about our formation and tactics. We are at home and if it's not broken do not try and fix it.

I would play the same team again. Why change after two wins?

No way would I change the team off the back of two wins. Keep it consistent with MOH and Swanson available to come off the bench if need be. Take the confidence from the last two into this and we could see off two managers in two weeks.
I agree, he will not start MOH, he has only played about 30mins in a month. He will have lost his match sharpness.

Almost as bad a decision as giving it to Kerr.
So you agree that would be better captain as he is not as bad as Kerr.
Who do think should be Capain. Or should Kerr just plod along in the hope that he eventualy become a captain and hope his game will return to the standards of last season.

With each game that has passed this season I've been thinking who do you give the captaincy to, cause Kerr needs the Ando treatment in terms of taking the pressure off and just getting on with his own game imo.
In the league: Clark, Kerr, Tanser and Davidson have played every minute. (900 mins). Kennedy 767 mins and McCann 754 mins are the next closest.
If Tommy like most managers wants his Captain to be playing in every game ther are his choices.
I believe the Captain should be a leader who can rally the team when things are going aaginst them and raise the team to play better. Also give out praise and a bollocking when needed.
There is nothing written in stone that states you cannot have a club captain and change your on the field Captain from game to game. In my opinion this is what is needed.
It has been suggested that Craig (233 mins played) and Wotherspoon (250 mins played) have the qualities to captain the team. Therefore make them captain when they play. If he has to chose a player that is playing every week, I would take the prssure off of Kerr and give it to Tanser because at this momentin time Kerr is contributing nothing as a captain and it is hindering his game.

Great game just the result we needed and other results brought the bottom 5 closer together.

Kennedy is playing up front you absolute walloper.
Not in the game I am watching he and Wotherspoon are swiching left and centre. in the 3 behind May. We are not playing two up front

Tommy is still trying to find his best team, this is the first time this season, he has started Kennedy in the middle of the 3.

McCann in for Holt the Wotherspoon for Swanson only changes. Holt not on the bench
SUBS | Elliott Parish, Madis Vihmann, Danny Swanson, Liam Craig, Michael O'Halloran, Chris Kane, Callum Hendry
He must be thinking of going two up top at some stage why else would he have two strikers on the bench

My team and formation for Saturday.

By contrast, the player who I think does try to do too much is MOH, who has both speed and skill but I don't think has the vision of a Kennedy or a Swanson.
Out of the three Kennedy is the only one who does not have an assist in the league. MOH had the vision to play in Kennedy for one of his league goals. I stick by my point that Kennedy will not supply goals for May if he plays along side him.

Clark
Ralston - Duffy - Kerr - Tanser
MOH - Davidson - Craig - Wotherspoon
Kennedy
May
The only problem with Kennedy up front with May is, he does not pass the ball, his only objective is to creat space for a shot and shoots at every oppertunity even for tight angles. It was so evident on Saturday. Therefore I would play another striker up front. I think Craig will be on the bench as he has not had enough game time to be match fit. Tommy will start with Holt and Davidson.

Our next three matches are all at home. Hamilton, Hearts then Hibernian. We win all three theres still hope.
Cluthing at straws (and we need to). Just watched the Hearts 1v1 Rangers match. Hearts were the better team, solid at the back. Rangers had 1 shot on target and they scored. Their big strong striker was a contant thorn in Rangers side, I dread to think what he will do our centre backs.. If Hearts perfom the way they did today, we will not beat them or draw.

He went 4-4-2 yesterday with Hendry and May up front, and we didnt even come close to creating a chance, if anything it made us look even worse.
I have not seen the match so I will take your word for it. According reports Tommy statements and posts it seems like we did not turn up for the second half. It appears like the towel was thrown in before he changed the system. I believe we have have to go 4-4-2 with Wotherspoon and MOH wide and Hendry or Kane up front with May.
Some may think our squad is set up for 4-2-3-1 but it is not, we do not have a loan striker and we do not have anyone who can play in the middle of the 3. He has tried various players there without much sucess. Swanson against County being the exception. But what did he do yesterday?
I will say it again our problem is we have too many wide players (Kennedy, Wright, O'Halloran, Swanson and Wotherspoon) and not one is a natural striker or number 10. Tommy is trying too hard to fit 3 of them into the team and it is not working.

Looking for some one, I mentioned him before when we were looking for a centre back/full back Marc Wilson 32 years old (25 caps). He is a centre back who can play full back and defensive midfield. He is still available. But is there any money left as we went overboard to get May.

We aren't going to resolve the defensive issues by changing the shape
And we are not going to resolve the goal scoring issues if we do not. Tommy has tried everything but 4-4-2 which is what May needs. MOH and Wotherspoon are tried and tested wide players who can defend use them and give May a strike partner.

if we go down with this squad
This squad will be like rats deserting a sinking ship. They will find another Premier team probably a bottom 5 or one of the promoted teams.

Two changes

I hope Tommy keeps the same team and formation. It worked and the team played well. They could and should have won. We need consistancy at this time and constantly changeing the players and formation does not help.

Sneaky feeling we'll see Wotherspoon dropped for Holt and Swanson moved to the left.
I would not move Swanson. He and May looked good linking up in the middle of the park.
I would also like the same 4:2:3:1 formation, It worked well why change it. If Holt comes in it will be for McCann or Davidson. As Davidson has played every minute of the league games so far, I believe it will be McCann. If Tommy is rotating his wide players, I can see Wright replacing Wotherspoon.

We've not had our best side out until the last few games,
We have not played the same team in the last few games. So what is our best side is it:
Sunday's without Holt and Wright
Last weeks without Swanson and Kennedy
Or was it the Rangers game without Holt, Swanson and Wright.
The point, I trying to make, does Tommy know his best team? He chops and changes his midfield every game. I am willing to gamble, he will change it again for the St Mirren game (possibly two changes). So far no continuity in his selection.
I believe that after 8 games, he has found our best formation so far 4:2:3:1

Back to suicidal and immature defending. Positive from yesterday St Mirren also lost.
