Plus of course we managed to sell a number of player over the summer period:
    • Cadden
    • Byrne
    • Kelly
    • Van Scheik - nominal fee plus sell on.
Not sure if we got anything for Halkett or Gallagher - probably not as both were out of contract.
An apparently are due money for Menga as part of his loan agreement although that seems to be taking an age to come through.
Commercially I would say that was none too shabby considering none of them cost us anything.
    Have I missed anyone?

I'd imagine we've also saved some money on the wages of the other guys out in loan; Rafa and Hamilton etc

Pity we couldnt get young Jack back, would give Lyndon someone beside him.He is a Striker after all.God knows we need one.Frustrating.

A good point under the circumstances.  Great to see a bit of fight from the players, and the support getting behind them.  If we play like that often then we're going to need it!

Started okay but usual story as soon as Livi score we fall to pieces. Midfield dropped right out of it, first half McCann was largely anonymous and Muzz was everywhere trying to drag us back into it, so all shape was out the window.

A few passes at the back, limited options so the inevitable hump up the park straight back to Livi every time.  If MOH, Swanson and Kennedy are going to start, then they need to be making some kind of impact. First half we had one shot from a free kick as far as I can remember.

Second half was much the same for the first 20 or so, but we gradually dragged Livi down to our level, and great unselfish play from O'Halloran to square it for Kennedy to score. All of a sudden we start playing a bit, passing it to feet and looking much more like it. McCann started showing far more composure and finding a few passes; he also showed great maturity in fouling the Livi player who looked through to take one for the team, something we rarely did last season.

Livi had more chances, and probably deserved the win. But f**k them. Delighted for us to get a point on the board and hopefully a wee confidence boost which at half time looked very unlikely.

I think Dallas helped deflect a bit of stick away from the Saints players. A few boos; I'm not saying it wasn't dreadful and really frustrating to watch, but what the fucks the point of booing your own team when confidence is already low?!  Otherwise, I think the Saints crowd mostly stayed behind the team and tried to help lift them.  I honestly don't think Dallas understands football, he's probably the biggest imposter with a whistle out of all of them.

Aye and f**k yous an all.Yous got outa jail and you know it.Last years Livi would have buried yous.Gonna be interesting this time. Strange times ahead.

Positive from the negative we stand a chance of potentially beating livi...emoji849.png

To be honest wasnt the best draw for both sides. However it does give both a decent chance of getting to the next round. We certainly wont be taking yous lightly in what is going to be a tougher game than some people think. Looking forward to it and hopefully a good game.

It’s all about how the new players come in and replace the 4 players we have lost for me. The players that have left were all massive players last season and by what I’ve heard they were big characters in changing room to.

Hopefully the trip away in Hungary will create a new bond between the new players and old alike.Still feel we need a proven striker to bolster our attack, dont think we are strong enough up front yet which is a wee bit worrying. Still one can but hope.🦁

We're looking for a fee for him though, what would Ross County be able to pay? He's a great player but genuinely think he's behind a good 3 or 4 players now in terms of ability

Shaun will be looking at the amount of midfielders now at the club and possibly thinking his place might be in danger. Hes a cracking player but like Josh Mullin might feel hes got a better chance elsewhere. Imo would be a loss to us but he wont be the last.Stay. Hope he stays.

Walsall fan in peace here. Nicky is definitely not a non nonsense defender. He was much better going forward and could put in a reasonable cross but not often enough. You can't fault him for effort but he just wasn't good enough for League One. Between his and Luke Leahy's(ex-Falkirk) defensive performances you could see why we got relegated. I wish him well and I will watching Livingston's results and his performances  with interest.

Weve a tremendous record of giving players a chance at our club when they perhaps feel they can go no further at their former club.If he can integrate himself into our way of playing im sure he will prove to be a decent aquisition for us.He is obviously not coming for the money as we are on tight budget and hence probably feels the need for a fresh challenge.I welcome him to my club and wish him well.

Looks a very decent signing that. Will have benefited from his time down south and was already highly-rated at Ayr before that.

Weve already lost two superb defenders and Gary Holt knew he would have to move quickly to reinforce our defence.Weve a knack of getting players in and getting the best out of their developement.Time will tell of course but im delighted to get a player of his quality to join us.More to come i feel.Well done Livi.

Hope Byrne stays but imo it wont be as big a miss as it would if he'd gone last season, esp with Bartley signing. Can't see Piitman going anywhere, he seems really settled and had the chance to move to Aberdeen last season and didn't, he's a bit more important a player for us than Byrne, losing both of them would be as bad as losing Halkett and Gallagher but I think we'll cope if Pittman stays.

I reckon weve enough in reserve for the midfield positions. Its our defence and up front we really should be concentrating on imo.Still would be a shame to see Sean go as well.Big job ahead for Gary to even try to replicate last seasons succsess. I wish him well.

I'm sure Robinson has triggered his extension for appearances. I would be surprised to see him go.
Hamilton and Cadden have deals for the coming season so unless anyone wants to fork out money for them then they will stay.
I like the look of Hamilton but as usual for us, not a goalscorer as such. Be interesting who we rest our Hope's on as a goal scorer next season.

Midfield sorted. But im worried about our defence. They say some guys are irreplacable. In this case i tend to agree.Lithgow is going to have to be massive next season with those around him.Not sure if we can reply on goals from all over the park as we have done previously. Need to get help up front as what weve got Simply wont be good enough at this level. Hopefully Gary and Davie will have guys coming in to do the job.SPL should be an attraction for most.
