  1. Tell you what Biggie, we should be more neighbourly, understanding and tolerant in my opinion. Mind you that Zander lad is still a bit of an angry young man.. We really should all foster relations and spend some time on the St Johnstone thread, there again on second thoughts, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz Best regards
  2. Yep absolutely agree, still waiting on THE SIGNING, the coupon buster, the game changer! Best regards
  3. Ludo, with the best will in the world, can we just have another quiz next time? Some obscure corkers in the last one. PS, welcome to Jamie Ness. Best regards
  4. Just to clear up any possible misunderstandings here. Or am I the only one willing to comment? Adam Johnson was convicted of a sexual offence against a minor as an adult male , not as a spotty, silly wee lad at school, FFS!!! Best regards
  5. We are not Dundee United.............................WE ARE DUNDEE!!!! No David Goodwillie, no Adam Johnson thank you. Best regards
  6. Neil McCann's gainfully employed again spouting his special brand of knowledge/shite and to be brutally honest I would not trust Jim McIntyre in this role. However once we sign a new keeper young Jack Hamilton is still under contract. Keep him occupied if nowt else. Best regards
  7. Billy Dodds appears to be one of their best customers!!! Best regards
  8. Mark O'Hara as we all know was shrewdly converted from defence to midfield when initially signed. Paul Hartley never stopped telling us his masterstroke!!!! He was then subsequently coached by Neil McCann.................................. Oh bugger, I see what you're saying, lol. He would however be welcome back here again in my opinion if the chance came up. Best regards
  9. Agree with the above posting 100%. Good players are readily available, however ones who possess the right attitude and character take a bit longer. James McPake, like us witnessed the horror comings and goings of the last two seasons first hand. Best regards and good luck to G-Mans young lad.
  10. I would think it will be very interesting to see who succeeds Oran Kearney as St Mirren manager. After all, it was at the end of the day quite a surprise Jim Goodwin remaining at Alloa when a potential progressive management position at Dens was maybe within reach. Would appear on the surface someone whispering in his ear regarding his beloved Buddies, time will tell. Anyway, his loss, our gain, meantime raise our glasses to James McPake!! Best regards
  11. Anyone remember Marco Roccati? The bugger only brought his own goalkeeping coach from Bologna in 2000-2001 whilst on loan!!! This was a guy who according to Wiki only made 113 senior appearances from 1995 until 2008, mostly in Italy thankfully. Personally I've yet to see a custodian better than Ally Donaldson, I was only a young lad at the time and Ally was near the end of his career. Best regards
  12. (Question 5 - Gordon Chisholm I think @ QOS, tried to sign Bob Harris) Anyway, regarding squad numbers. Save number 33 for the young man below to return, even if a fee is involved. Another wonderful decision by the self proclaimed footballing expert, aka Mr Neil McCann. Best regards
  13. Yeah, agree with the above assessment 100%. Talented player indeed and if match-fit, I would assume also a hunger to prove himself. Especially taking into account his most recent location of employment. Best regards
  14. Yes. If you fall out with your boss, decide you're leaving and he then comes back and says "tell you what, how about you sign this contract for a couple of years. We'll still sell you, honest", that's a hell of a risk. From what I recall Dixon was much more of a c**t about it. Firstly, before I get shouted down, I'd like to say I respect the differing opinions regarding Scott Robertson's appointment. That's actually what makes our thread so healthy. However, from personal previous experience of leaving a good job following shall we say "a professional difference of opinion" all I can say is the young man must have been in a pretty dire, desperate situation in 2008 considering his ultimate chosen destination! Best regards
  15. Sensible so far, young lads who have good experience within this league, and more importantly looking to take it to the next level. Counting the sleeps now until the Charlie Adam unveiling. Back home, not for the money but to create special memories for all. He could provide at anytime the one piece of magic which separates us from all comers, proudly wearing the skippers armband. Best regards
  16. Or a decent Living Wage for that matter, lol. Again joking apart, I was engaged on a system commissioning project when your stadium was built, in 1990, if I remember correctly. Tightly run enterprise/business even then. You should spend more time encouraging the local population to actually attend and appreciate, rather than spouting nonsense on here. Late lunch finished now, bye. Best regards
  17. That'll be the Falkirk team who spanked you guys 6-1 in January last year which included Jordan McGhee and Andrew Nelson. All joking apart, the verdict won't be due anytime soon. Best regards
  18. What with the release of the new strip the other night, I can't help but feel the club are missing a trick regarding not providing for sale a selection of what I would consider to be "modern classics". The appetite for these could be gauged through supporter clubs and sites such as ours. These would be ongoing sales, not just the usual annual issue of what could potentially be an unpopular strip. I recall the Julian Speroni Testimonial strip sold very well, certainly quicker than I could order my size. Anyway, some examples below, including the 2003 Uefa Cup issue, just a thought. Best regards
  19. Happy days, great snap that is. My Grandfather used to speak of these days, hard to believe now. I assume The Flat-cap Company owner dined in the same palatial outlets as the local jute barons. With all the recent sniping on this thread, worth highlighting some of that considerable Dark Blue generation also watched United on alternate Saturdays for something to do. Think on my Tangerine friends, without that income you may not have been here to snipe. Best regards
  20. Evening Biggie Can't help but notice the amount of unwarranted DAB red cards you receive. Did you pish on their shed and plant pots by any chance? Very best regards
  21. The young man seated in front of Shades also now sadly passed. Ian Redford broke the Scottish transfer fee record when he left for £210,000 aged only 19. He sadly never realised his initial dream of leaving to sign for Spurs, to follow in the footsteps of John Duncan and Alan Gilzean. Best regards
  22. Well if he's still injury prone, we're deffo not interested, thank you anyway. Best regards
  23. I'll raise you Joel Kitamarike. I'll raise you Stevie May, thanks but no thank you. Charlie Adam, yes please!! Best regards
  24. Kinda hoping we would strive to achieve both these targets this season. Looking after today whilst planning for tomorrow. The American budget cannot afford another caning, especially after the McCann / McIntyre experience imo. Best regards as always
