  1. We're all football peeps, merely wear different colours my man. Respect though, I'm sure many of your fellow posters on here didn't take the pain that sunny May evening. Best regards
  2. In spirit, or in tears, or both? lol Respect if you were though, I witnessed United clinch the Premier League at Dens. Not pleasant from my viewpoint I can tell you! Best regards
  3. Aside from the totally inept tactical formation (for this game anyway) and generally unacceptable footballing display last night, what about the minute's silence debacle! Disgraceful from areas of both sides, is it really so difficult for these "people" to grasp a sense of decency? Best regards
  4. The morning after the night before, oh dear!!!!!! Saw a post earlier mentioning if we had signed Lawrence Shankland instead and utilised him as we do Kane Hemmings our scoring charts would show no great change to the current levels. United last night imho gave the impression they expected to win that game, whereas we had only hoped for the best. Now, I'm Dark Blue born and bred, however no amount of sabre rattling escapes the fact even the second half alone, that could have been another heavy defeat. Shocking, totally unacceptable performance overall, however not unexpected. Best regards
  5. 5/7 as well I'm afraid. First answer controversially disallowed for off-side, typical, absolutely livid, lol. Best regards
  6. My good lady's other love, Stoke City, are apparently on the verge of announcing the appointment of Northern Ireland's current manager Michael O'Neill. Reports are including and mentioning the fact Jimmy Nicholl is his international no.2 and that he is keen to have an experienced team around him if appointed. Now, if this happens, and I'm only thinking aloud, a certain ex Stoke City player would be my first choice for any vacancy as assistant player/manager. Make it so, bring Charlie home!!!!! Best regards and home win tomorrow.
  7. Merely displaying impeccable good manners, that's all. Best regards
  8. Even then there's no guarantee I'm afraid with this fixture. I recall a derby at Dens around 2002, Dundee coasting at 3-0 and looking to do something really special on the day. What happens, two late United replies and we nearly concede an even later equaliser!!! Hard one to predict on Friday, however to us, only a home win is acceptable. No pressure then, lol. Best regards
  9. Maybe sounds strange, and I certainly didn't think it when leaving the ground after the Partick Thistle collapse. However it just maybe be one of our best results this season for the massive in-yer-face wake up call alone. South Enclosure beckons again next Friday, happy days. Best regards
  10. Harsh, however incredibly fair in the circumstances. The bottle on the left, 18 year old malt? Hold on, on second thoughts it is Andrew Davies in the mummy's mitten body-suit!! Best regards
  11. Must also be praying the main man Lawrence Shankland plays more games than last season, imho. Still well in view, considering we've not even started playing as yet, must be a pressing concern for our neighbours, lol. Best regards
  12. Great three points tonight, however let's remind ourselves who we are and where we currently are. Let's build on this good result, who knows what's possible once we realise how to utilise and feed the natural skills and talents of Kane Hemmings. Best regards
  13. I take no pleasure in saying I have to totally agree. If we are realistic and honest, football, like most professional business ventures truly is a cut-throat business. Without wanting to see James McPake cast adrift, at this present time in his fledgling coaching/managerial career he is proving to be out of his depth on so many levels. A brave decision would be to sit him down, discuss the situation and inform him the club were to seek an experienced manager and have McPake learn the ropes as it were as an assistant manager. If he honestly professes to respect the club as much as he does, this would surely provide the best pathway for all concerned. Whilst I, as always respect all the differing opinions on our thread, who wouldn't be completely behind the appointment of a manager of the calibre of Jack Ross. This of course will not happen, that would require the paymaster admitting yet another error of judgement. Best regards
  14. Kane Hemmings has the ability as we all know and thankfully the work rate is always there, however I can't help but think on his own he's pissing in the wind against two or more centre-backs. If at all times he had alongside him the threat of either Johnson or Nelson as an effective foil we would see him back again as a consistently lethal striker, especially at this level. We are in my opinion wasting some very effective assets sitting on the bench and as suspect as the defence can be, if we could actually put some games to bed when we should, opposition heads then go down and any potential outcomes like today are averted. Best regards
  15. One quarter of the season completed, 12 points obtained from a possible 27, negative goal difference and only 4 points above bottom of the league. This could and should have been another "Carlsberg Weekend", the Dabs absolutely humiliated this time, my good lady's Mighty Potters win again and we should be sitting 3 points off the summit. Afraid to say this, however we possess three great strikers for this level and only play one from three at any time. Absolute nonsense, what does that say about our confidence in the defence, not a lot. Marshall's performance today was shocking imo and I cannot even find the words regarding Forster, especially after his header back of a Thistle corner right across our own goalmouth! Also send the lad from Hibs back again, we are not a nursery club for sub-standard players, why on earth should this be tolerated? This brings me to our manager, not good enough so far, tactically inept at best. Good lad James McPake, however another lazy appointment it would also appear to be. I, like many others in the South Enclosure, applauded Gary Harkins entering the field today at 1-0, however after the third Partick goal, like many others, I didn't see him leave. Best regards
  16. Likewise Johnny, my good mate secured the briefs on Wednesday, soon to be counting the sleeps, can't wait until normal service resumed again. One sleep only though till I see wee McCall get his lesson tomorrow. In fairness still surprised he left Ayr to be honest, did a tremendous job there. Best regards
  17. I admire the fact you don't mention Andrew Davies. Suppose you actually have to have been a Dee, to become an ex Dee, lol. Best regards
  18. Raise our glass to a better time when their uneducated hi-vis vitriol was contained to their own kind and not spewed out with little thought, or control for that matter, from a stained qwerty keyboard. (Vitriol : noun - bitter criticism or malice) Best regards
  19. I highlighted earlier today the above posting by RossBFaeDundee on Monday which displayed/contained the DC Thomson journalist's Derek Healey's social media comments allegedly refuting any involvement in the incident by James McPake. This content, as you can see above, has now been removed by our own PandB and I believe the original posting on social media by the journalist was also removed. Very unsettling he was the chosen journalist to run with the Courier article this morning. Best regards
  20. That must be the same Derek Healey running the article in this morning's Courier regarding the incident on Sunday and subsequent Police action. Disturbing professional conflict of interest would appear to exist regarding the above unless I'm mistaken, taking into account his previous personal media release. Best regards
  21. From being dismissed at Dens Park for being a prize clown. To gainful employment on ITV's Doc Martin, guess what, still playing the same role I see. Best regards
  22. Please find below Lawrence Shankland FC's usual mode of entering and leaving their stadium!!!!!!! Yet according to their Tony Asguar, 'sporting director' (whatever that is btw), the package Shankland's on did not even make him the highest earner at the club. I can only assume they're still paying into Jackie McNamara's considerable pension fund, lol. When it comes to the truth with these Dab's, you've only to recall the ludicrous and misjudged official internal club backing they gave Cifti when he assaulted a fellow pro, one of ours, with his teeth!!!! Best regards
