So the club announced that Geoff Brown is selling his shareholding. Does this mean the club is now officially up for sale? Got until May to find a buyer? Do we want someone from Qatar or UAE? Or another American actor or two who fancy a side project? Mostly, am I right to be very worried?

It’s probably been forgotten about with the turgid football we’re serving up, but I’ve just been reading an article about kit delays and Macron are featured heavily in delays for English lower league teams. Seems the Chinese long term lockdown has affected supply massively and some down south won’t see their new kits til August. Points out that these teams are already putting their kit designs in for 2023/24 because it seems like they have to work that far ahead. Not defending the club, just wondering if there’s mitigating circumstances. Also, we need a keeper and a striker and possibly a defensive midfielder. And probably a new manager

Am I the only one majorly seething at this preseason trip? 24 players and all the staff going away will have cost something similar to the wage of a new player for a season so why are we wasting it on a group of players who don’t really deserve it???

It might be a pretty basic way of looking at things, but is there a problem with signing players up early because you have to pay their wages early? Sign them mid July and you’ve saved yourself six weeks wages. Are Saints that tight? I’m inclined to say yes. I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s a reason we wait so long to sign anyone. Cos we’re cheap

Yes, goal difference is important. And that today, aside from being embarrassing, will make a difference. But thinking about it, we have to win two games that St. Mirren lose, and assuming (hoping) they lose to Rangers tomorrow, that’s automatically a five goal swing, so it’s retrievable. The biggest problem is after today it’s hard to see us winning two more than St. Mirren. Or Dundee

As a very much part-time fan, I (like many others probably) have been to two games this season. The European home games. Not much since has enticed me back tbh

Are we all feeling a bit better this morning? Amazing what one good win can do for the confidence. And to go up, get pegged back and still go on and win is massive for us. Also I do hope we’re planning putting something on for Eve Muirhead for our next home game

Tom Sang is very good going forward and very good defending too. Nothing to worry about on that count. What matters is the understanding with players around him

I’m already thinking of us winning at Aberdeen in our game in hand and being only 8 points off top six. We’ll be closer to them by the time we play that game in two weeks. Also worth pointing out that Livingston are shocking at home so this was very much a winnable game and massively important so best not to get too carried away with false dawns….

If the board (and Callum) didn’t watch tonight and think maybe we need some attacking flair then the whole place is totally f+*ked. We can’t just pick up a random attacker. We absolutely must get an creative/attacking midfielder. Without Spoony we are toothless and clearly pointless. Five days to grow a pair

All the new players we’ve just signed were wanted by this manager. What are they going to think if he goes. We’re risking becoming a basket case

It is a genuine question though. Comes in three parts. As we don’t sack managers so it’s been a while since we’ve been in this position. Who should be the new manager? Who do we want as new manager? Who will Steve Brown sign up?

I’m assuming Smith had longer on his contract. And also possible Dundee United are better at negotiating fees than we are. Which is likely

I’ll agree with that @Kyle, I personally think everyone needs to calm the f£&k down. We’ve started the window fairly well and we know there’s things in the pipeline. We also know there will be two last minute panic loans at the end of the window so there’s still time to get the right things done before they turn up. New bodies will force everyone to up their game and rid the complacency from their minds. No more “automatic picks”

If we do let McCann go for only £1 million it is serious gross mismanagement and an appalling view on our club and it’s players. Unnecessary panic. Even fans of other teams in Scotland say we should be looking for 3 mill. And that never happens. Sums it up. I can’t believe we’d accept only 1 mill
