Totally forgot about this, that guy was an absolute embarrassment. He kept chanting ‘ooh ooh, ooh to be a ....’  over the tannoy, hoping the Ross County fans would join in. Just tumbleweed.

That doesn't encourage fans to join in, it makes it seem like forced cringeworthy embarrassment.  Singing the players name when they scored too was brutal.

Hope he was a one off haha.

  2. The boy Mcann in midfield for Saints is a player btw.

Chalmers and Spittal as our two CM's doesn't work (I know they both scored)

Paton or Henderson should've started IMO.

Saints looked good and should be fine this season.

Stewart did well to set up the first and Spittal's free kick was top notch.

Ricky Foster actually played okay considering I thought he'd get sent off.

and Finally the referee and his officials were the worst I've seen this season, for both sides might I add.

Careful here, almost some decent chat breaking out.

Obviously not a patch on the match thread on WAP though.

I occasionally have a look at other teams forums but have never looked at WAP before, I'm assuming it's the usual 'Should be beating this mob 4-0' 'We are finished if we can't beat these'  chatter you see from most teams in relation to County.

  4. I think a lot of County fans will be surprised at how good Saints are compared to their league position, this is by no means an easy game.

I can't remember if I posted a line up or not and cba looking back but I think we'll go for something kind of similar to last week

                                     Laidlaw

              Fraser Watson Fontaine Foster

    Stewart Henderson Grivosti Paton Gardyne

                                      Graham

Harsh on McKay but Graham has looked good the last few games

  5. 1. Sarah Millican  - By far the worst comedian on the planet.

    2. Michael McIntyre- Tory.

    3.  Andy Parsons - unfunny to the highest degree and laughs at his onw pish patter before he even tells the joke.

    4. Gina (can't mind her last name) -  Loud and not funny isn't a good mix.

    5. Milton Jones - I can see why some like him, I just can't see it myself.

Yeah that was my thoughts, he steps in and wins the headers a lot of the time. Doesn’t allow himself to go up against a standing jump very often at all.

As said earlier it's Stewart he'll be up against and he is 10 foot tall and jumps double that, has Ralston been good for you guys? he always seemed like a Marcus Fraser type where he'd eventually get released at Celtic and do well elsewhere.

Depends on the run obviosuly but the GSR had pace runners. I tried to stick with the 55 min one but she crossed the start line a good bit before me, I caught and overtook her then eventually she got by me again at the end but I had obviously made up a bit of time catching her at the start.

I think there are pace runners at this actually, I'm just gonna go enjoy it, and worry about time after

    All the best staggy.

If you’re worried about pacing I’d suggest starting at a comfortable pace and growing into it, you’ll probably sub consciously find yourself speeding up as you go.

thanks! I have an idea in my head that i'll find a somewhat competent runner and then stick to their pace throughout and if I have more to go in the last 2k then burst it

did you manage to a sprint finish at the end?

Haha did I f**k! I nearly ground to a halt at 200m to go!! That was a very good overall time for me IMO but the time was made in the first 5km then surviving the last couple as best I could. There was no way I was sprintinfmg anywhere!

    What time did you get?

Hopefully I get around the 55 minute mark!

Certainly found that myself as I wasnt harbouring any real notions of beating 55 minutes.

did you manage to a sprint finish at the end?

Just did my first so I can tell you that you will go faster than you have in training. I didnt have a watch or anything but the guy I was with did and he called out a few markers. I knew I had gone quick over the first 5k but just kept going as best I could. Did struggle towards the end tbf but dont tgink I could have did much better.

I think you see people and think "right il go past him" then you see the next guy. The hardest tying for me was slowing down a tad when I needed too. I kept wanting to pull away again.

Knowing your pace would be handy I suppose but it could hold you back from making the big matxh atmosphere count for you.

I've been told that the adrenaline of it being a race makes you faster overall tbf,

Hopefully I get around the 55 minute mark!
