  1. Agreed the pitch was horrible , very poor conditions , not the greatest game , welfare went with a new formation at the back ,didn't work well and the players at the back struggled but it's all experiments just now Boness always on top but a good entertaining game none the less,, on to the next match ,,slowy but surely the manager will have his team ready im sure
  2. grand , saw yous play a few times last season , very good very strong all over the park , new Welfare team now so looking forward to see how they do against you
  3. Stop Fishing mate , Wasnt there but was told only 2 ex jags started , few more came on later , Your post is pretty accurate on the game youll be glad an ex jag had a mare and fkd up a penalty as well no doubt Early days though , and not bad so far and hoping to make Saturday v Boness should be a good 1
  4. think youll have a decent support for saturday ? hows your team shaping up from last season ?
  5. Is the new facilities finished ? is there a Bar ? if not where is the nearest ?
  6. rab Without being a pain , im not to bothered about the history im looking forward to the future Stingy i messaged u Let the talking be done on the pitch and we can just discuss the matches after
  7. Dont think having a 20s team is a must, nice but not a major problem as seemingly barely 2 players qualify for the 20s although im sure older players can drop down to play as well so this would have been good to keep those not playing match fit end of day the Manager will be judged as all are on results so he will need to have his main 11 and other 6 or 7 sorted asap as Welfare have a very hard start and are in a very difficult league to be rotating players for the sake of it i for 1 am looking forward to this season didnt see many decent games last season so i cant wait ,
  8. On a football playing topic , cant make tonight but im sure my brother is going so hope a good run out for Welfare in a busy few weeks we will see all the players getting a run Newcy you said a few still missing from the list i think that Dowie , Keane , Muir were missing at the weekend football not sure who else but plenty of players to cover anyway
  9. rab do you think there would be that sort of support for the 20s to finance that ? as mentioned the 1st team has to be consolidated 1st surely but 23 players is at least 5 too many i would guess they will move on a few before the season starts as without the 20s to give games to some many players will not stay without playing perhaps short term loans will be the answer as 23 is just far too many but the Manager will have a plan and is still playing himself as well so will no the problems better than us to keep a huge squad intact/happy from my experience not playing = not happy = they leave
  10. First Post so be gentle . I for 1 am gutted the 20s have folded not only for progression but would have gave game time to lads who wont be in the match day squad A major blow when you have a massive squad i understand the reason behind it but still a negative outcome all round Newcy im glad a loyal welfare fan is optimistic i enjoyed Saturday although hard to judge and next few matches should see what sort of team/set up we have not seen all the players yet but will try to give an opinion when i do i was at 2 matches last season a drubbing by kelty and the win v edin u so two very different games x
