Two thousand tickets sold so far isn’t exactly overly impressive. Had it been at home then I’d imagine the home support would have been 4 thousand as a minimum. Its 15 mins along the road.

And the money aspect ? £15 online or if you are a family, 2 adults, 2 under 12s then its £56 plus travel plus something to eat there. You are saying people should go just because it’s close? thats great but not every family can afford that. Remember that.

I am fortunate enough that I can afford to go to away games and drive to them, but I am very conscious that not everyone can. Never mind the time of year. Calling out  fans for not going because it’s 15 minutes away is not called for

I’m a wee bit disappointed with the uptake tbh. For a game just along the road when most people are off work, I thought there would have been more sold. I think the last two results have put a few off by the looks of things.

    ????

we have sold more than I thought. It’s Christmas time so money is tight for most people, it’s a long January for most people. We have played away a few times in December and we have a few away in January including Livingston in the cup. People will pick and choose the away games. Considering this is the 5th time we will be playing them also. The game is likely going to be a PPV game as well so many people will save money doing that.

We have pretty much sold out the three main sections excluding the front which have just become available and the sides are starting to sell too. I don’t think considering all the factors that the number of tickets sold is disappointing, I think quite the opposite.

Not taking anything away from his goal, and I applauded it at the match, but does anyone know how Ali Adams was allowed on the pitch wearing the wrong squad number? His squad number is 21 and he was wearing number 34 with no name on his back, both a breach of SPFL rules.

You are allowed to change shirt numbers as long as the referee is told. If the referee wasn’t told then he would receive a yellow card

Nothing more intimidating than playing your rivals when they’re struggling to field 11 senior players.

What warning signs? Genuine question, as I don’t see anything to suggest we’ll win this one.

See Raith Rovers V Arbroath, Saturday 30th December 2023. Arbroath resorting to playing their reserve GK upfront, worked out well for us …

In all seriousness though, I do expect some fight from the pars, when teams are struggling for players they tend to rally round together and have a bit more team spirit. At the same time, I do think with all your injuries we will be too strong for you lot this time round

I think it's mostly this and in all honesty I'm for it. We used to be horrendous for people leaking team lines a few years back. I'd far rather it was tighter knit.

I’m sure there was someone on FanTalk that posted the line up the day before the games ? Then someone else started to say Laurie Ellis would check this when he was at Dundee Utd

  6. Couple reasons about not announcing injuries -

    - managing expectations, we can already see the issue with Watson and not knowing when he’ll be back so why add fuel to the fire people are already starting about when players are due back.
    - Tactics, if we start saying player X, Y and Z are unavailable then other teams will use that to their advantage.  The less the opposition know about us the better

Bene should be back for this weekend, if not then the our game on 2nd Jan, Breen came back last week at Arbroath. However, Chris Hamilton went off with a fractured cheekbone and Lewis McCann has "done" his hamstring, so it's two in, two out at the injury room revolving door.

Your injury troubles sound like us from last season. Key players always missing and never or rarely having a fully fit squad. Maybe not quite as extreme as us with only having two / three subs at times but we know the feeling of being frustrated with players being injured

Rumour is we are in for Dylan Easton and want him in, in January. You lads are obviously absolutely dead against this and have said no chance so we're trying to play funny buggers and use Shaun Byrne as leverage.

Just a rumour. Could be nonsense. Probably is.

If he does leave for you guys in January then his game time will be limited to away games only since your pitch can’t handle a sports direct sized mug of water being poured over it

  9. Big kev has always had a mistake in him, it’s been pretty clear since he came in. But he has saved us many many times this season so I’m sure we can let tonight slide.

Also big applause to the Ayr fans, Friday night away from home and only a couple days till Christmas, not exactly a must go to game. I’d be slightly gutted, to be 3-4 up with ten men and a draw is a bit of kick in the balls.

The actual game itself, despite the goals we weren’t very good at all. Lots of players not their best but we can’t play well every game and thanks to QP we aren’t any worse off in the table. We will take the point and move on

Cataclysmically shit decision making? Absolutely. Fan response? One of the most successful fan movements you'll see in Scottish football. Our supporters should never take shame in the fact that they raised the bar to ensure that he was told not to come back within a working week.

This is exactly the same as my take on the situation. Plenty other fans gave us stick and some still do, but ultimately it was the fans that forced the clubs hand. WE stood our ground and didn’t accept the signing. Our fans deserve praise for what we done

Disagree with that. The ticket is for a particular seat.

Maybe years ago when you couldn’t pick the particular seat online and you just got what you were given, and maybe if the stand isn’t sold out but definitely not acceptable on Saturday.

I agree with you, but it just takes a few people to say to everyone sit where you want and people will follow that. Hence why clubs have to come out and say sit in your allocated seat

Mental that folk think it’s ok to sit in a different seat than the one they’ve paid for.
I was organised early and bought seats right behind the goal. If you wanted to sit there but didn’t buy your tickets in time tough.
I didn’t realise this was actually going on on Saturday- folk would have been telt tae bolt if they’d been in the seats I paid for.

This has always been an interesting topic. Unless the club explicit say “sit in the seat on your ticket” then it is just a free for all.

if the young team stand at the front again then that means everyone else will be standing behind them. That’s the way it goes, normally people would just move seats but the fact we pretty much sold out the utd end, it didn’t give anyone a chance to move to another seat

Sod it, just bought mine. Rather give them the money early than get stuck with a seat out by the touchline.

Also, nice to see them just opening up the whole stand straight away rather than the section-by-section nonsense they did the last time.
Hopefully United will take heed for the next away game also!

Hope the young team let everyone know where they plan on sitting. I was sitting behind them at the game last week and plenty people complaining about standing up, I personally didn’t mind but a few others were getting themselves all worked up over it
