  1. It pays to just check account(s) once you hear of these offers happening. The emails can be delayed or never come, but some accounts would still have whatever matches were designated for you for sale.
  2. Well played. That's the dream scenario right there. Smashed it!!
  3. Agree with others on the sentiment of moving around every three or four days instead of staying in one place. Months ago I'd booked dozens of free-cancellation bookings in every host city and/or nearby, covering all match days and combinations of nearby cities that had matches the day before or after. Especially good with the accor hotels (ibis mercure etc.) is that when you have a booking over a longer period eg. three nights you can call them at any time. before the free cancellation period is over and change the number of nights required down to a lower number. Used this a lot at the Rugby World Cup recently where I'd made bookings almost a year out and then attended the odd match at last minute but never paid more than 70 euro per night even though the going rate was much higher last minute for a decently located place. Not sure why you wouldn't do this but maybe I'm just a super cheap b*****d.
  4. IMO some people are getting a bit carried away with that "advice" about not having double ups, which is pretty obvious right? A few options: - Only apply for dates with single games on your main account (eg. M1, M49, M50, M51 - Either only make general sale ballot applications in other people's name. and/or - When you end up with tickets later through the SSC, use the unique code on an account different to your own should you already have a match that day to purchase that game.
  5. To most host cities there's a direct fast train from Cologne's central railway station (Hauptbahnhof or "Hbf") or from the secondary Cologne train station (Messe/Deutz, which is a 15 min walk over the bridge, or take the train for 2 minutes), or otherwise in some cases one change in another city. Or to the closest nearby host cities there's also the slightly slower trains as an option which will still get you there pretty fast. It's a nice place. Definitely a lot of fun to be had. They're very proud of their Kölsch beer. Find a nice beer hall. It will be a fun atmosphere during the tournament.
  6. I too have a couple of bookings across various dates in Wuppertal as it is half the price of the bigger cities places nearby on the popular dates around matchdays. The big negative is that for any 21:00 kickoffs in the nearby cities the connectivity back to the city slows down a lot near midnight and into the early hours. But in Scotland's case depending on opponents and other teams playing on that day, they'd probably assign us at least one 15:00 or 18:00 kickoff out of the first two group games, then the third group game is a coin flip whether it is 18:00 or 21:00 so fortune could be on our side. The monorail looks awesome too.
  7. There's been a few comments like this about certain cities in the last few pages. Namely that places like Dortmund, Bochum, Duisburg, Essen, etc. the list goes on are "a dump" and you shouldn't stay there. Ultimately, it depends what you want out of a city when traveling or basing yourself there. Indeed they do not have anywhere near what you'll find in a big world city like Berlin, or the interesting diverse sights of Hamburg or Munich, but they do have pubs and are well connected on the train line. In the West the trains predominantly run through Duisburg and Essen too so they should be considered but only for that reason. Exclusively on matchdays for Dortmund and Gelsenkirchen you can also consider Bochum (it has a cheap hotel bookable on accor). It also depends if you are wanting to go to other matches in between seeing us play, or you need to be entertained in that base city where you are staying - and if that's the case then don't stay in one of these smaller places. Obviously, if you find somewhere adequate to stay in a big city then take it. But to a certain type of person, cities like Cologne/Dusseldorf/Stuttgart (and maybe Frankfurt even) will find them as shit or as enjoyable as the places listed above. It will definitely be nice to strike gold if your booking ends up being the place where we play. I do agree that Monchengladbach is maybe a little too far out of the way to be a decent alternative. Hannover is a good recommendation too. I write this only to help people as maybe someone might completely rule a city out when it could have been suitable for them.
  8. The schedule guarantees that a team would play two out of their three group games in one of the three clusters, and one in another cluster. And that one group is contained to two clusters. But agreed that especially with regard to the "North / North East" cluster that the distances are still a little longer but they did the best they could.
  9. And confirmation that the "specialist football writer" of the Scotsman is a clown!
  10. It's pretty common, especially if you book well in advance. I had quite a few cancel on me for the rugby world cup too and a few for the euro. The key is to just have lots and lots of free cancellation bookings everywhere, for multiple dates and then cancel them once the group stage draw has been done and you finalise your trip
  11. Same here most likely. Essen or Duisburg are great examples should something not appear in Cologne or Dusseldorf. Think this is the way to go.
  12. You just have to know where to look. Here reddit twitter bigsoccer or in person eventually you'll find FV or below. If not you're not trying hard enough, or the market has gone to shite.
  13. They've told many people through correspondence that it will be fine to arrive whenever, but please respect the time windows when possible. I'd get there an hour or 45min beforehand at the latest.
  14. Get in the queue. Scotland vs Czech, Croatia tickets are for sale.
  15. Even though they emailed you with the email subject "Your UEFA EURO 2020[emoji769] mobile tickets are available"? The matches all come separately, up to 5 days before the match.
  16. Hi lads. This may interest someone looking for Glasgow tickets. He's genuine with long time history on that board (username Sleeper). You just need to buy the Croatia Czech tickets too. https://www.bigsoccer.com/index.php?posts/39594205
  17. They'll email you when they are ready in the app.
  18. Nice! It had also been mentioned in post 1277 earlier. Hope it is true!
  19. My tickets have have been "allocated" and have had ticket numbers since 2019. I wouldn't read into it, unfortunately.
  20. They will. Once they've done all ballots. In the next two weeks.
  21. Sorry for your loss. It's terrible and sour. You'd hope that's not the case, but instead that all allocations (eg. General sale, both supporters groups, sponsors etc.) just gets sized down to whatever percentage the venue restrictions are.
  22. One can expect confirmations coming when all ballots have been done. Right now we have no idea how far through they are, but just that there have been cancellations for a handful of cities.
  23. Confirmations should probably come at a much later date, when all ballots for all matches have been completed. Right now we are still near the beginning with only a third of the cities reported as started. The main thing is that it hasn't yet been cancelled/refunded. Best of luck though
