  1. Eric Nicolson on the Courier Talking Football podcast recorded today saying he is ‘expecting Eetu Vertainen to be confirmed as a St Johnstone signing in the next few days’.
  2. Saw on Twitter earlier on this evening that we’ll be seeded if certain teams are knocked out. Massive help.
  3. It’s the very ‘not living beyond our means’ that has brought us the monumental success of the last 10 years or so. They should try it sometime; it’s a right laugh.
  4. Mr Grieve's first pick up presumably? Unless this has been in the works for a while.
  5. A player which will require A FEE. St Johnstone. Paying a fee. What next?!
  6. Hakeem Odoffin off to Rotherham. Has played just about everywhere at the back and in the midfield for Hamilton but hopefully takes them off of Rooney’s scent.
  7. https://www.thecourier.co.uk/fp/sport/football/st-johnstone/2398396/st-johnstone-face-strict-uefa-deadline-to-confirm-venue-switch-for-galatasaray-clash-or-will-forfeit-game-3-0/?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&amp&__twitter_impression=true What an absolute nightmare for the club.
  8. Club have applied for all season ticket holders to be permitted, I believe. No ballot required if that's the case.
  9. Wednesday's game now sold out. Wonder how many away fans got the chance to purchase.
  10. Tickets went on general sale, no mention of who could and couldn't purchase them. No danger I'll be in a Saints shirt!
  11. Everything wrong with modern day agents summed in one bleak saga. Honestly don't think I'd be pining for him back at Saints now either.
  12. They had me at ‘SJFC’ down the back of the socks. It’s a belter.
  13. Correct shade of blue at least. It’s giving me serious St John’s Kirk flashbacks.
  14. I agree, however sometimes it is unavoidable. There's no denying that the OF is a step up from anyone else in the league, but as you say, you'd much prefer to see them go down south with the money and resource they have at their disposal, rather than play against you in future.
  15. Unless you're after a bit more cash, St Johnstone to Hibs is a sidewards step at best. Old Firm or down south is where the greater opportunities lie for these players.
  16. Unless you’re Man City or Barcelona, you can’t win a cup double in any league and expect to keep your squad together for the following season. Unfortunately, we’re victims of our own success, but we need to be careful not to go down the same route as United when they lost half of their squad in 2015... We all know how that turned out
  17. As much as it would pain me to see them go, these guys have given us the impossible. They have given us absolutely everything. If the right amount of money is tabled for Kerr/Rooney/McCann etc, can we really hold it against them if they want to move on and try something else? They don’t owe Saints anything now.
  18. Considering how much a move back down to Engerland was touted when he left Saints, it honestly wouldn't even surprise me!
  19. Don't like swearing when it isn't necessary, but that is fucking mental.
  20. These boys can to go on to do whatever they like in their careers now. They have given us something that was thought to be beyond the realms of any possibility and for that, deserve to move on with everyone's best wishes, whenever that may be. Having said that, I'd be very interested to see how these players operate when they're not working as a unit under Callum. Jason, McCart and Gordon are absolutely solid - phenomenal, but would they necessarily perform at other teams the same if that core was broken up? Can't help but feel that they compliment each other perfectly, and that is absolutely crucial to our success.
