  1. The number of times we've been told over the years that they're definitely sorting out their marketing/email database this time, it's kind of scary how many folk still get things they shouldn't, and don't get things they should. I know some of it is down to people not telling the club when they change their email address, and some of it is down to the data being sourced from different places (e..g. Ticketmaster for ticket sales, if that's who we're still using). But given the relatively small number of people we're trying to keep track of here, it shouldn't be that hard.
  2. Given the backgrounds of various folk who've been on our board and run our club over the years, I'd imagine we've had more than a few already.
  3. Anything that requires us winning never feels in any way "likely".
  4. I suspect the main reason is that, like a lot of very wealthy people, he just never seemed very likeable or relatable.
  5. Probably, but who knows. Playing like he did at Ibrox with Clarke in attendance won't have done his chances or his confidence any harm, but he'll have to keep that up for the rest of the season to have any chance.
  6. What I've mainly learned from this thread is that while I liked pretty much all of our old strips at the time, I very much don’t now.
  7. From his highlights reel, his average scoring distance appears to be about 3 yards.
  8. It should be taken into account, but it's not that dreadful, to be honest. Most folk who run a lot of online surveys will tell you 20-30% is about the average response rate, regardless of the issue at hand or the number of questions.
  9. I'd be surprised if it has any effect at all, tbh. It happened so long before most (all?) of the players were born that it might as well be referring to 1891. I certainly couldn't give a toss about anything that happened 33 years ago at the company I work for.
  10. Probably, pretty much everything in life is better if you've never seen Friends before.
  11. Agreed... amazing how often you hear about creative folk being asked to do decent chunks of work for free because it's "good exposure" or some bollocks. It's bad for the whole industry.
  12. I think I’ll just go back to gardening on a Saturday afternoon if that’s ever our plan again.
  13. A fair bit to go yet. There may be longer runs, but Derby County going 32 games without a win in the 2007-08 season springs to mind. Billy Davies was in charge at the start of that, but Paul Jewell was in charge for the latter 27 of them (24 league and 3 cup games), and then lost the first game of the next season for a total run of 28. They did win their second game, though.
  14. I mean, at this point, it's hard to argue that it wasn't the best thing to do, for Max Johnston at least.
  15. I'm still trying to parse all the double negatives in this one...
  16. Yes, 8, which equals the Scottish Premiership record I believe.
  17. Fair to say we were a bit spoiled that year, our second and third top scorers had another 34 goals between them.
  18. And yet still professional players are daft enough to start handbags stuff knowing that's what's likely to happen.
  19. No, but if anyone has a VPN they can point at Ireland, it's live on Virgin Telly.
  20. Have always said this would be a better way to show it, for the folk who get annoyed when the team in 7th end up with more points than the team in 6th. I wouldn't even be bothered if the league just split into two proper groups, with everyone starting again on 0 games played, and the team at the bottom of each group starting on 0 points. Plus it would really annoy Rangers and Celtic fans who'd have to do more sums before getting angry about whatever they were angry about that week.
