  1. Have to echo about Ford vs ferrari Excellent watch Missus chose 'Marriage Story' this afternoon as we enjoyed the end of our holidays! She lost attention and ended up on her phone playing scrabble. I loved it. Thought it was excellent. Great dialogue. I thought Adam driver and scarlett johansson were superb. It was a realistic, heart tugging take on a relationship where there is love but pulling apart. Reminded me of Blue Valentine, just the demise of a love story. Not going to be everyone's cuppa, but if you like realistic, and long well acted dialogue scenes, give it a go. Can see why Adam Driver is winning all the awards for this film. 9/10
  2. So my fitness life has been a yoyo. From stereotypical fit career, to putting on some weight moving away from home and living alone for work, so counteracted it and got very fit, running 20+ miles every weekend and hill races.. Fast forward 4 years of relationship, settling down to new home and getting 'comfortable'. Hammered the gym since October, great routine going every morning before work and after work the nights I was able. Measured myself and between October and week before Christmas Chest - lost 3 inches Hips and waist - 3 inches Belly- 4 inches Didn't realise I had gathered the inches over the years gradually but feels good to be back. Christmas was a struggle to let myself just enjoy it and gym closed... Got to find a good balance. Not measured myself after Christmas, I'll give it a few days back at the gym before that. Glad the gym reopened yesterday. 2 good sessions. Expected it to be full with all the new year resolutions - empty! People enjoying their last few days of Ferrer Roche then the gym will be like a royal rumble 7am Monday!
  3. One month and 6 days since rejoined the gym after 10 months off! 1 stone down, several inches off belly, waist, hips. Just getting a routine and habit of going to the gym before work, 45 mins on the x trainer (changing the exercise between sprint, hills modes) and at the weekend usually 2 hours with a movie downloaded on skyq! Amazing how quickly you begin to enjoy it and get addicted by it again!
  4. Think purely by buyers and sellers but I can't be sure. They take a commission from each sale. To be honest it's a lottery at times, but I enjoy it. Brewster, English lad gets a 2 minutes cameo in the EPL and his price goes up to a couple of £2.70 per share, whereas for example, koke, 27 so prime age, captain of atletico and Spanish international 90p a share. Pay for the potential of what if...
  5. Had a night out a few years ago now and a ditzy girl apologised for being late as she had to stop for petrol. Ah which one did you use? I went to Mexico! She meant texaco!
  6. I apologise! Countdown is my strange choice in the gym, trying to come up with anything better than a 5 letter word makes the time fly by
  7. Thank you for your input, not sitting. I'll take your opinion with minimal consideration not knowing me. I've appreciated the forum to be able to use it as a sound board and supportive ideas and suggestions. Each to their own with exercise choice, however I don't work well staring at a beige wall infront of me so the TV is a distraction and works for me. I have my heart rate monitor to tell me if I'm working hard enough within my heart rate zones. I'm working on calorie reduction and endurance so longevity is my method currently. Not a daily routine, I also do weights and mix it up most mornings before work on cross over cable machine. Went old school tonight and took measurements on my chest, waist, belly, arms, thighs, calves (used to do that with insanity) and will assess every fortnight. Worked out my BMR and calorie intake of my chosen foods I enjoy so wee diary to take notes.
  8. I used skygo and bt and my mobile data went to bits! Need to get a deal next time to consider that! Ye need to get searching for good apps to download shows in advance!
  9. Productive weekend in the gym! Saturday and Sunday - 2 hours both days on the cross trainer, high level and on 'kilimanjaro' Hill mode, emphasis on endurance over speed. Heart rate monitor showing approx 1300 calories per workout. I lose motivation easily nowadays so having the rugby on the screen and watching that, distracting me, worked a treat. Can either watch it sitting on the sofa or get something out of it. Wish the gym had WiFi or sky so I could watch the football whilst working - enjoy working on machines when have something to distract me... Days I go in and nothing on but homes under the hammer or Lorraine etc... I do 10 minutes and I'm bored! My gym is very basic, the issue with living in the middle of nowhere with VERY selective choices for a gym.
  10. Cannae beat a day out at the zoo! Best reason I can think of for having a kid! Giraffes must be bloody awesome for someone so small!
  11. I've grown to be anti social! I enjoy 95% of my free time being in my own bubble, walking the dog round the fields, watching footie or TV, sometimes speak to the missus... I think I miss playing football. I don't think I'm ever fussed about the social scene, can't drink more than a few hours nowadays. New to this area, used to be an Airdrie fan but never really got following the new side, been in limbo for a few years, considering finding a new team to watch locally on free days. Kelty hearts are top of the list at present. Jump on the bandwagon! Ha Baby... Ye might just do that to keep busy and gives me an excuse to go to the zoo! Ha
  12. Tempted to attend the East striking v Kelty hearts game tonight. Two teams going well. Know more about Kelty.. Scoring for fun, and could be good game for a neutral for the Friday night at the Falkirk stadium
  13. Was hypothetical situation to add humour and highlight my confusion how to approach new friendships in a world you don't come across men - neighbours, work or socially presently. The whole post was just long winded how do I find games of football which may need players to get back into a game with some decent guys?
  14. How to make new friends as a 34 year old male in a new location without it being weird? Moved to new part of the world, hour away from 'home', stopped playing football for my team 18 months ago, work in a totally female dominated workplace (only guy out of 50 odd people)... Have my mates from forever on 'lads chat' on WhatsApp but with everyone married and with kids, the chat and catch ups are not as frequent or fun! Living with the missus on a farm in the middle of nowhere, work with the missus...love the quiet life but miss the chat! So need a way to socialise with some guys and I've discovered at this age its bloody hard! Walk up to a big burly bloke at the bar and ask him 'hi there, can I buy you a drink'.. No! Take for granted having the same mates forever! Anyone know where to look for games of 7asides online etc (kinross area)?
  15. My golden lab.. See above... Is a slow plodder on walks, isn't a runner! He is approaching 10. He was getting stiff after longer walks and I have put him on yumove 360 advanced. You can get yumove online but the 360 advanced only through the vets (they are happy to prescribe since paying for it monthly) and the difference it has made for him is amazing. He hasn't been stiff or limped after any long walks. I pay £42 a month for them but worth every penny
