Getting beat by LASK may be seen as a big euro flop by those who don’t know anything about them or bother to look up their recent runs and results in European competition. On top of that, I get what Paulo is saying, however there are so many positives and possibilities if we can win this tie. With the money it brings this could be a rare chance for us to go up a level in terms of keeping our best players, keeping the manager, bringing in better players. We can cement our place as the best small club in the country. Plus from a purely selfish fan point of view, even if this is to be a one-off, how good would it be getting to the groups and being able to look ahead to October/November and booking another great away trip or trips to another great euro city with a top football team? Some cracking things to look forward to in the next 6 months if we win this tie.

Yep, the fact it is going to sell out in just a couple of days with minimal Turkish interference will show the club have done it the right way in the circumstances. Maybe it’ll make folk consider getting a season ticket to avoid all this hoohaa in future, if they really do actually want to support Saints that is.

Geez, just looking at Facebook feed. Some of the stuff being said and dummies being spat out in the last 24 hours is wild. Ok it’s easy for me to sit here with my ticket and judge, but if I knew there were still 800 tickets available I’d be on that phone all day or making contact with anyone who could potentially know someone who could maybe know someone else who could maybe get me a ticket. For some folk to go in the huff and say they’ll just watch it on the telly or it’s the last time they support Saints or they feel let down by the club etc just doesn’t make any sense to me. They’re probably the same folk who would boo the team off at half time if we’re getting beat on Thursday so maybe just as well they’re giving up.

I agree with this. As cool as it was to parade the trophy after the Fleetwood game for season ticket holders, this is the first game back with everybody getting to go to the game. So regardless of sell-out or not I think parading the cups should happen. I suspect Callum won’t want to do it before the game though as he’ll want them focused on the game alone but I agree it would be amazing for the atmosphere in the place. Plus it would be a pre-emptive reminder for any greeting faced part-timers who will be intent on voicing how we’re ‘still shite’ and how they’ll not be back, to remember what this team have just achieved.

I didn’t go to the fanzone in previous euro games. Is it kid friendly? Would be nice to soak up the atmosphere before going to the ground.

I’m a season ticket holder so I’m fine, however I’m concerned about getting the place sold out and folk who want to go missing out (I’m the caring sort, ken?). What about non-season ticket holders who don’t know any season ticket holders or can’t get anyone to organise a ticket for them? Do they miss out?
