  1. I don’t understand any Saints fans who don’t want to go to this semi final. We missed our team winning a historic cup double last year, we’re at Hampden again for a semi final and folk don’t want to go? Makes absolutely zero sense to me. Hopefully it’ll turn out like the Ibrox semi in 2014 when there wasn’t great belief we could win, the proper Saints fans went and we all had a great time.
  2. Fwiw I’d give Kane, O’Halloran and Middleton a rest after Hibs (and go with 11 players to give the Dees a chance) and go… Clark Muller Ambrose Booth Rooney Davidson Craig Devine Spoony Vertainen May but I’m not the manager obvs. I have a feeling he might go… Clark Rooney Ambrose Booth O’Halloran Crawford Craig Devine Middleton Spoony Kane We’ve plenty options when you think about it… COYS
  3. I hear ya. Just realised it would actually be 13 players you named as that’s without the keeper!
  4. This times 1000. I was concerned seeing the lineup because Spoony neither has the pace/stamina nor tackling ability to be in that position. We’ve seen it before (against Aberdeen I remember funnily enough) and it’s just not his position. However, to be fair to him, he put in an ok performance and did win his fair share in the middle. I fear against a side in better form they would have exploited this weakness though. Not sure what the answer is other than either replace McCann or get Bryson fit again and make him last the rest of the season, somehow. Or put Liam Craig in a time machine. Now that Murray looked in a bad way what’s the midfield for Wednesday??
  5. There’s no way Efe is the central of the 3 and the organiser. He might fit into Kerr’s old role quite nicely on occasion. The issue is still who takes Gordon’s place in the middle. I’d be very surprised (and worried) if Efe starts as the central one of a back three. Hopefully Dendonker turns out to be awesome in that role but obviously don’t know anything about him.
  6. Looks really fucking good on the video clips of him playing too. Almost enough to get me over last night’s dramas.
  7. Is there any point in having a youth setup and trying to ‘develop players’ if you’re just going to give them away for not a lot of money considering the years spent on them?
  8. This really would cap the whole thing off in outrageous fashion if this deal falls through.
  9. The reaction is the same as on here. I don’t think you can blame anyone for having a meltdown after the news tonight.
  10. This is all quite scary. I expected more I must say even from Saints. Potentially our two best players leaving for low money and replaced by three short term loans. Yeesh.
  11. Who? Where does he play? Was he playing against us on Sunday? Doesn’t ring any bells…
  12. Likewise. I was expecting a centre half to replace Kerr, a proper announcement of Eetu and that he’s clear to play and I was hoping for a goalscoring striker out of nowhere. Alas, none of these have happened. There’s time yet…
  13. Wow, that’s me put in my place. Must be shite now then. Better phone Callum and tell him to cancel the deal.
  14. F*ck me, wouldn’t be deadline day without Saints fans going into meltdown. Looking on the bright side, the day is still young and as it stands we haven’t lost any of our top players. Oh and last time I checked Ali Crawford was a cracking wee player who pulled the midfield strings for Hamilton. How can this be a bad signing?
  15. From a St Mirren point of view maybe. We’ve improved second half and should be ahead.
  16. It’s taken a player with ability and belief to do it in Middleton. Still no finish after the numerous chances he’s created though.
