And where was his response when they got back in the game? No more subs to make an impact. Just let the game carry on. If there had been ten more minutes we’d have been beaten.

Absolute disgrace from Davidson. The game turned on the Saints subs and change to a more negative approach.
I think that was our chance to put the tie to bed in the first hour of domination. Can’t see ICT being so bad on Monday.
I think we’re going down.

I think the whole Saints support is currently waiting to see what Davidson says about those subs.
I suspect we'll get a mumbling accusation that the officials cost us the win instead, though.

Let’s hope the two out are Crawford and McPherson.

Ok now I’m depressed. Radford is right. I’ve no idea where my recent optimism prior to the Hibs game came from.
Just praying Zander Clark doesn’t go over his ankle in the coming days or that will leave zero doubt.

My stream froze just before they scored. So it’s not happened in my opinion.
We’ve played some neat football which is highly unusual.
Weak links are McPherson and Ciftci who stick out like shite on a football pitch.

Euphemism?
Haha no! She is presumably going to be interviewing Callum and it looks like she’s been up clearing out the loft in the background!
Anyway I guess I’ll have to miss out on whatever gems he came out with in the interview. Probably a good thing.

Saints TV
I’m getting a 30 second ‘preview’ of some woman’s loft ladder.
Do I need to be a subscriber in addition to a season ticket holder to watch his pish now?

Don't think poor wee Glenn likes our fans.
He shouldn't worry though, the feeling is mutual.
What happened?

Hendry had to square it for Middleton and that’s the difference between one and three points.

Well that’s clearly wrong.

Do you think we intentionally have to start every attack with Jamie McCart?
Possession in defence, give it to McCart. Win it in midfield, work it backwards to McCart. Striker has it in the final third, Back to McCart!!

McPherson is such a shite footballer.
And he’s on our set pieces. Unreal.

This may be a bit of an improvement the more I think about it. Trying to be positive…
May can’t be any less effective than Ciftci has been.
If McPherson gets involved in the game then that’ll be an upgrade on Crawford lately, although I really don’t rate McPherson. Hope he proves me wrong.

Talks about making changes to make us more physical after we were "bullied" against St Mirren.
Brings in a 4ft CM who can't tackle and a striker who purposely avoids confrontation.
Great stuff.
Yes, it’s not exactly an inspired looking line up is it.

May for Cifici and MacPherson for Crawford
Makes more sense I guess. Thought that was the only change above which would’ve meant Crawford and McPherson in the same team.

Yeah he never moved from the back 3/5, but the midfield changed to plug gaps and give us more control, and the attack changed to give more support to the striker and increase our threat. He would switch between this set up and the OG one dependent on opponent/situation too.
This season he's not changed anything apart from personnel. We have troubles in the build up, sometimes we resolve that in game, but then by the next week he's back to the original plan and we have the same issues. Up front we have no link up between the strikers, we just get a tombola trying to find a partnership to resolve that. We have no build up on the left since Wotherspoon got injured, all that's been done to change that is change the wing back without adding more support.
I just can't understand why he was able to identify these issues last season, and resolve them, and during games this season, but we never try anything different in games now apart from different players. It's like he's seen success last season with a set up and convinced himself it'll work again eventually if he just keeps at it, when footballs just not like that, you have to constantly evolve as your squad/opponents tactics evolve.
He'll see the fact we've avoided 12th using his tactics as justification, and expect us to be much better once he's signed players he wants in the Summer, and that terrifies me as I think he won't bother thinking of anything new for next season regardless of what division we're in.
The other thing that’s been bothering me is that last season he often played 3-4-2-1 with just one main striker, usually Kane and two wide players. In fact, correct me if I’m wrong, I think that’s how we setup in the two cup finals.
Then sometimes he would play Melamed up alongside Kane in more of a 3-4-1-2 where someone like Conway dropped out.
Funnily enough last season I wanted him to play the two up front more, probably because I wanted Melamed to start more, however having the two wide players was effective in the big games.
Yet here we are this season and that approach appears to have been abandoned and any winger types such as O’Halloran and Middleton are now out of favour.
It’s a subtle change but would wee get more joy up the sides setting up that way? Probably. No idea why he’s totally abandoned it this season though.

Nobody can have enjoyed our brand of football yesterday.
Correct. And not just yesterday. We’ve played like that all season.
The passing around the central halves was highlighted yesterday due to us being behind the goal and due to Dundee sitting back so deep and plugging any gaps.
We desperately need one or even two proper midfielders in the Ali McCann / Chris Millar / Jody Morris mould to take the ball from the defenders and pick a pass.

The shooting stat highlighted by random is terrifying stuff.
If we get away with it this season then we're doomed next season.
I must’ve missed this. What’s the terrifying stat please? Apologies if it’s on the thread already but I can’t see it.

I still can’t get my head round this manager and a lot of this team won the cup double last year.

The potential of relegation? It gives great potential, mainly to get rid of playing and coaching staff.
That said, there's also the potential of losing players that you would ideally want to keep. Then there's the monetary aspect... devastating.
I'd ideally like us to finish 10th, we all have a laugh about it then punt this coaching regime as far into orbit as we can, then get back to qualifying for Europe next season.
Good points there. I’m kind of on the same train of thought. However given what Callum and the staff achieved last season and what great servants they’ve been for the club, I can’t help but feel weird and not comfortable with saying they should go.
How do you feel about that Tam? Do you feel like the cup wins will be kind of soured if we end up parting ways with these people?
We’ve probably been spoiled in recent times and haven’t been in a position where folk want the manager out for a long time. That’s probably why I feel weird about it.
