  1. He got off to a great start with us and then dislocated his shoulder at Ibrox around Christmas time. I can’t remember the exact timeline but he was out for a lot longer than what you would expect. Maybe he broke his collarbone actually I’m not 100% sure.
  2. Big Varielle always for me looked like he just had a wee “something” missing in his game that stopped him being a really top player. I loved him for Kilmarnock too but he just needed a wee bit of a better touch or a wee bit of better finishing or…….just something that stopped him being amazing.
  3. I’m a bit 50/50 on how he’ll do for you but the Broadfoot comparison is a good one. Similarly to Broadfoot if he is happy with how everything is going and in a good place mentally then you should get a half decent season from him. With Lafferty though you do feel that the next drama might just be around the corner. Would need to have an attack totally built around him though with players running off him.
  4. Lafferty has little mobility these days so definitely has to be a 9 and nothing else.
  5. Speaking as a neutral I wouldn’t class Dundee as a bigger club than St Mirren or vice versa. Both clubs wish they were Kilmarnock.
  6. Hopefully the club and the local council are making urgent plans to expand this extremely tight and dangerous area to stop the fans of the 11 year old club ending up in a crush again.
  7. Hey @RandomGuy. have St Johnstone made a profit every year/most years over the last 5 or 10 years? I see that you did last year.
  8. I didn’t mean bitter towards Rangers or Celtic for you I just meant bitter in general. You seem as if you are not a happy person.
  9. For a guy who (I’m pretty sure) tells us he has a background in football it blows my mind that you think it’s just this easy.
  10. To be fair they can’t just magic the money out of nowhere. Thats not to say I don’t think the SFA are totally incompetent though.
  11. Would definitely say to take the “unethical” out. You’ve basically guided us towards the answer you want with that word included.
  12. Probably the only other fan base who believe Rangers came back from the dead.
  13. See if you went to every Tory party conference or public meeting for years on end, clapped along when everyone else clapped and didn’t speak up when people said things you didn’t agree with. Would that make you a Tory?
  14. Half and half scarves eh? I’m sure I remember another couple of teams sharing a scarf, can’t quite remember who it was though.
  15. Bringing their kids up to be bigots. Some of the posters on here probably guilty of it.
  16. Big Nouble has made our defenders look daft on multiple occasions over the last couple of seasons but, and correct me if I’m wrong, the final product from him seems to be lacking. I don’t even know if it’s a great partner he need with him or what that he needs with him. He’s a bit of a Paddy McCourt type player with that great skill and close control. Saying all of that, I would love him at Kilmarnock.
  17. Whilst my sentiment is the same as yours I can’t remember anyone generally calling out £3 million as the price.
  18. Here are some opinions from your favourite Kilmarnock fan: Regarding Hemmings I don’t think he is as bad as some of you make out. If he comes in as your number 2 then it’s probably going to mean you have a half decent #1 and he should be good back up. If he is starting as your number 1 then (based on last season) I would be worried for you. His form was pretty good for us in the Championship and without him we wouldn’t have came up I don’t think. He’s not as bad as Danny Rogers or anyone like that in my opinion. Jamie MacDonald level goalkeeper in my opinion. Regarding Baccus and his fee, and without wanting to get back into my argument about the World Cup, I do feel that some St Mirren fans felt that just because he played at the World Cup meant he was an “X” value type player. I always felt that was a bit unrealistic. When it comes to transfer fees the selling club’s financial position is probably the biggest factor and clubs down south know they can rip the hole out of us. The only way you would’ve been looking at big money for Baccus (again only my opinion) would have been if you had given him a 5 year deal on crazy money a week straight after the World Cup and for a club like St Mirren that’s just too much of a gamble. Harry Soutar of course went for big money after the World Cup after being a stand out for Australia but it’s not even worth considering the internal transfer fees within England. Similar to the McGinn discussion a good sell on might be a better deal than more cash up front.
