    I get the impression Saints wanted this to go through as they have someone in mind.

    In what situation does Hendry come back to Saints? If he plays well chances are Aberdeen will make a bid, and Saints will accept. If he is poor or doesn’t play seem the only way he plays for Saints again. Might be Saints putting him in the shop window

    I’m not sure what system there is that negates defending like that. Manager being questioned but players need to take personal responsibility too.

    To me that’s more of an indictment of the current squad, we struggle with McCann and Wotherspoon on the bench. I do think two up front/ three non the middle would have given us more of a hold though

    Most Saints fans said they would be happy with a point but are now unhappy. Did you think it would be 5-5? All the evidence beforehand suggested this would be a shitfest. Considering the team we had out and how poor we were I’m happy with a draw. We would have lost that earlier in the season.

    Tried to defend Davidson but if this goes wrong, it will be difficult.

    I’ll wait until after the game before making judgement but I would have preferred just the one change, Craig or Davidson for Bryson. I’m guessing he has gone much further

    Starting to wonder if winning without being brilliant last week was a bad thing in the context of today’s game. He can justify changes by saying we can play better.

    This talk of a new signing has come at the right time. Raised my excitement levels on the lead up to the semi final, which was feeling quite flat. Amazing what a win and the prospect of a new body can do. Cue Saints signing an immobile 39:year old.

    No idea, just saw he had left them at almost exactly the same time as I saw perthsaint1977 post. There was no mention of any team in the press release I read

    Hearing maybe a new face in the saints squad. Opportunity arose for someone to come in. Will see how it pans out Cammy Smith leaving Utd wouldn’t be this opportunity would it?

    I think we forced them back more rather than them sitting back as Tanser and Melamed’s chances were us hitting them from deep, well deeper than most chances we create

    I think last night saw why. United tried to win the game, I’m not sure that was their priority at McDiarmid. As we all know our philosophy of getting the ball wide and crossing into the box hasn’t really worked against packed defences, certainly not with the players that were playing. Last night we saw much more variety too.
