I think it's very difficult for a striker to try and keep himself onside when the line is being drawn from a part of the defender that is further away from the goal than the actual furthest back part of his body.
The centre half's arm would be playing Shankland onside there. I don't see how Shankland is meant to keep his line there when he can't possibly know which part of the body an offside line is going to be drawn against.
You can’t be played onside by a part of the body you can’t play the ball with, just like you can’t be offside for a part of the body you can’t play the ball with.

Looked onside to me

Do you really think having no arms would stop an SFA-calibre referee from awarding a penalty for handball?
That’s fair.

What is the player meant to do there?
Detach his arm I guess

The handball rule is such a convoluted mess.

Hearts need to target Taylor - he’s fuckin hopeless
Be better targeting Scales, he’ll just get dragged all over the place and leave huge gaps.

Why wait that long for the offside, Jesus

Whit?
There was someone arguing a Celtic player wouldn’t get sent off for that when it happened to one of their players against us.

Ah well. Thats two examples of celtic players sent off for it now whenever it happens to a team against us that want to claim it wouldn’t happen the other way round I guess.

Surely that’s not being given as a red card

It's all if and what abouts I suppose but this 8 point turn around is more related to an horrific collapse in form by Celtic than Rangers suddenly being an "improved" team. Given the chance at New Year to put their name on things at Parkheid, they blew it.
Exactly.
Rangers aren’t where they are because of them massively improving their performances and blowing people away.

Away. He has infinitely improved us since Beale. The fact we are 2 ahead after being 7 or 8 behind proves that (albeit having played a game more).
I don’t think being better than Beale is something to shout about.

That's been coming for Rangers for a while, I don't think the performances have matched the results under Clement and they've been getting away with a few.
He’s not the tactical genius they think he is tbh, much like Beale.

Clement saying that Casey should have been sent off for a tackle he wasn't even booked for.
There's the narrative for the next few days.
If you watch it back McCausland opts to put his leg back in the way with his studs showing and Casey simply keeps going.

“That’s a handball!!!”

“Throws an arm there”
Geez peace. Terrible decision by the Motherwell attacker on a 2 on 1 though.

Honestly can’t see how someone standing in an offside position directly in front of the keeper is offside.
The Unseen Hand must be stopped.
