Same with @AJF, I'll cover for him: "We don't have the full picture. For all we know they were just defending themselves and didn't start the fighting". 😶

From what I read Atalanta fans attacked the hotel they’re staying in, then they all charged out and a rammy ensued.

Must be completely unprovoked though, even if it appears to be the group of ultras that always hide their faces.

Not a distraction, no, as its a Saturday afternoon game with a week before the next league match so it doesn't get in the way. Avoiding relegation is still being tried for even if hopes are only slim. There's also just trying to create solid base components for next season's team (in the Championship).

This match is great for us due to the financial reward from it. On the pitch, just looking to keep the score respectable and avoid injuries. Probably the tactics will be chosen as a bit of a rehearsal for the league match away to Hibs the following Saturday. So it will be defensive but not as defensive as some recent Livi gameplans at Celtic Park have been.

I’d be quite pleased if your squad show up on the Saturday instead given it’s listed as Sunday.

  3. A Sunday Scottish cup tie, most likely a comfortable win but just can’t get super invested.

I’d happily trade the Scottish cup this season if it meant we won the league.

I’m sure once we’re closer to kick off my interest will pick up, but what’s the general consensus amongst Livi fans?

Is this an unwanted distraction from the battle against relegation or is that already over?

Definitely my last post on here today. My point initially was that if the Celtic fans are not taking the stance that they are over Palestine, Abada would be staying at Celtic. A simple point which no one of a Celtic persuasion on here seems to be able to bring themselves to admit. Nothing about whether Celtic fans should or should not be taking that particular stance. But I'm sure you know that.

No one personally campaigned against Abada so he’s not being “forced out.” If he wants to leave because of protests then he’s free to go, but once again, he’s not being forced out.

When he came back from injury he got one of the loudest cheers, if he was booed then yeah, you could say he was being forced out.

We were told he was concerned about his family back home.

Ultimately though Abada has not offered his stance on the Gaza conflict, rightfully so, he’s under no obligation to. He’s never said why he’s leaving, so it’s all speculation.

Do I think it played a part along with pressure from the national coach and other coaches from his homeland? Most definitely.

I think it's very difficult for a striker to try and keep himself onside when the line is being drawn from a part of the defender that is further away from the goal than the actual furthest back part of his body.

The centre half's arm would be playing Shankland onside there. I don't see how Shankland is meant to keep his line there when he can't possibly know which part of the body an offside line is going to be drawn against.

You can’t be played onside by a part of the body you can’t play the ball with, just like you can’t be offside for a part of the body you can’t play the ball with.
