Swifts miss a great opportunity 2nd half to go 3 up, may have been different.... Howver no excuse for losing 5 in last 20 mins. Seen enough up to then to suggest we can take points off teams before end of season.

The club dropped it. As as I understand it the EoSFA/EoSFL would not accept just Swifts FC. As it's too generic. What with Jeanfield Swifts you can understand why. It's a bit like the recent Caledonian Thistle but there's ICT situation.
That is correct

Crossgates doing fellow fife sides HOB and IHS a favour tonight.
Credit to HOB (pretty much)and IHS for escaping the drop in a season of big changes in management at both clubs. Credit especially due for a extremely young HS side who rallied themselves following major the changes they faced January and would have been my dead cert to go down at the time.
Looks ominous for blackburn but they are still alive!
Thanks, pretty much everyone wrote us off after we split from Pat and Greig bit once again the young lads showed if you give them some belief and faith they can surprise ye. It will likely be another re-build next year again but we have some good U20s coming through.

I was at the swifts v Broxburn game the other week at Dalgety Bay and while some things were ok, the setup is not EOS compliant surely? I could have stood on the hill and watched the game and don’t ask me where the toilets were at the ground . Player safety has to be considered as I didn’t see a clear walkway between changing rooms and pitch. Have also heard this contributed to an ugly scene earlier in the season, where players of both teams were throwing punches at each other right next to supporters (wasn’t there so please don’t shoot the messenger if wrong)
if we are going to have a go at Edinburgh based teams, maybe should have your own house in order……
You can't see all the pitch from the hill behind the goal. Talking nonsense re punches etc. Can't even think of a game involving anything like that. Never seen anyone on here from swifts having a go at Edin based teams. Are you just bitter cos you got pumped?

Not much better it’s a public sports centre with a 4 g park with a fence round it covered with blue sheeting so can’t see into the park on 3 sides.
Aye DB isn't much better a facility than Ballast Bank we will just let the haters hate

I wouldn't be disappointed not going to IHS next season. They're on a poor run of form.
(H) Crossgates 1-0 W
(A) Haddington 1-1 D
(H) Lithgy 0-1 L
(A) Jeanfield 2-0 L
(A) Crossgates 0-1 W
7 points from 15 and 3 of those games against top 3 at the time of playing.
Hardly a run of bad form. Credit to all those around us picking up similar points. I'd suggest since Scullion and Spence left our form has more than picked up.... (hadnt won since end of Aug)...

They still have Broomhill in their name though. Surely you can see how "The Swifts" would just be like naming yourself Rose, Thistle etc without any geographical reference?
Probably at the end of June/beginning of July, usually a week after the LL fixtures which come out on 27th June.
Could debate all day. Someone asked the question, i'm giving the answer.

Yeah. I'm wondering why they've never made it official with the EoSFL/FA.
League Board didnt allow it at one of their meetings, even though told "it shouldnt be a problem".... yet some teams can call themselves Open Goal Broomhill! Go figure..

Swifts have had a 20s team since they entered a senior team 4 seasons ago.....

Done very well, but I think having a League One standard striker may have been the difference between staying up and struggling.
Probably but he doesn't do it all on his own. As you seen last week.....

Not much said about Inverkeithing. With the smallest budget and everyone's favourites to be rock bottom to finish 10th and beating the likes of tranent and lithgy is outstanding. Well done to Tranent on winning the league
