It looks like confirmation of the outcome of the new licensing applications, for the  EoSL clubs, will be notified to the 6 clubs concerned, by the SFA on 19th June.

Presumably the club licence 'renewal'  outcomes for clubs whose licence expires in June 2020 (eg Whitehill Welfare), will be decided at the same time ??

I've been told by someone on eos board the sfa agm is on 14th july. Is the outcome of licences a separate meeting?

If the vote is successful (which it probably will) to promote, clubs should be given a chance to vote again on conferences, given the change in landscape of promoting without relegating.

It would be handy to vote knowing what the full implications are for next year.

Think both LTHV, Tynecastle and potentially inverkeithing would like to know if they are promoted or not rather than yes you're promoted now your not your in the 1st? How can those teams plan.

Inverkeithing would be a bit controversial. Fewer games played than their Conference A title contenders helps their PPG. Then in Inter-Conference play they lost to both Leith Athletic and LTHV. Never played Dunipace or Kinnoull.

Fewer games played but still 2nd with a game in hand and same ppg as LTHV.

    There was.

I suspect a few clubs are considering their response and what options, if any, they have available at the moment and others won't have been able to hit "yes please" quickly enough.

every proposal would be the same. Never keep everyone happy.

Whatever the decision is, we will all have to move on. My biggest concern, selfishly for my club, is the sfa licence decisions. It has been a 10 to 12 year journey to get where we are and if we were not granted our licence it would be demoralising for the club, for many, many reasons

Not sure how the season end would affect your club license gaz?

I'm assuming he's done it based on the overall table at Tier 7 as things currently stand, if the season was stopped now, as the 4 he lists are the current top 4 in the 24 team table.

Given its a conference setup and teams are playing across the leagues I can see why that makes sense with not all games completed.

But TBH, I'm not sure there any fair way to look at it. At this stage only Tynecastle are assured a place in the "top 4" either way.

LTHV, Leith, Dunipace, Kinnoull, Inverkeithing and Glenrothes still all hunting the other spots, with Oakley arguably in Conf A as well with their games in hand.

Now that's a fairer post lol although leith and dunipace played 4 and 5 games more

I'd like to see the SPFL go 14-14-16.

Dundee Utd and ICT go upto Premiership, top 6  in League One into Championship, everyone else plus Kelty and Brora into L1.  Nobody penalised.

LL are then down to 15, no relegation, promote Bo'ness and Threave (if they want it) and open up applications for 18th place (or second EoS club?). Allows then to relegate 2 clubs next season.

EoS Premier potentially down to 14, promote Tynecastle, LTHV, Leith and Dunipace  (the only 4 clubs with realistic chances of promotion) and run with 18 for a season. Drop a cup or two to accomodate.

Below that, Conferences as has been agreed or First/Second.

Not perfect by any means, but a way forward where there's fewer clubs losing out, and the SPFL gets much needed reform.

Why not swifts from conf B? 2nd by 4 points with a game in hand. Bit disrespectful...

First time we've got to a semi final for over 20 years. emoji853.png

Have to say, as much as I understand it and health obviously has to come first, not disagreeing with the decision, if the season is a write off I'll be gutted. Our best season in about 30 years. Might have come to nothing naturally, in the end, but not to get to find out will be a real kick in the baws.

We're not the only ones in that position either, definitely would be some big winners and some big losers.

Ah well. Hope everyone's ok, that's the main thing.

Swifts have only been in existence as a senior club for 18 months, 2nd bottom last season and play off position this season. Be hard to take if we dont get to challenge for promotion
