I wonder if any clubs have a positive view of him - that what has happened at their club contradicts what you've been hearing. It sounds like a Scottish version of Mike Ashley and supporters getting worried if he takes an interest in their club.

Go and ask that question on the Ayr Utd and Falkirk threads

As I said in the Ardeer thread I’m new to this level of football, been to a few games last season from Saltcoats vics to Darvel and Auchinleck.

my brother and I are hoping to do a lot more games next season, suppose as I read the threads and attend games I will get to know more but I was looking for a WOSL 101.

Any must see games? Grounds? Fixtures?

As for teams I reckon I’m gonna back Saltcoats vics as it’s a team with a family connection,  the other is Talbot but that seemed a bit glory huntery!

Ardrossan is a great wee ground up your way. Im quite similar, i follow Ayr when i can but if thats not an option I follow the South Ayrshire teams. Maybole, Girvan and Troon are 3 traditional junior grounds that you would enjoy

I am just starting out in the world of junior football so this is a genuine question or comment. Is there a chance that this guy has tried to take over clubs higher up but doesn’t have the money to back it but at this level could put a bit of backing behind the team or am I totally wrong?

Time will tell but i have my doubts
If what I’m hearing is true.
Allegedly countless teams are owed a lot of money for outstanding sponsorship and I’m not talking a few hundred quid, its enough to put teams at our level in serious shit and even the LL was mentioned on social media as being owed cash as well where he is the main sponsor

Hopefully the beginning of great things down Stevenston way.

This guy tried a takeover at Ayr Utd a few year back. Maybe the club should’ve done a bit of due diligence before rushing into this because sadly it’s got disaster written all over it

A final look at next season's divisions and a comparison to what they would've been had the 2019/20 season been completed. Cambuslang and Thorniewood the big winners up two divisions; Dalry, AWR, Lanark the big losers down two divisions.

Also, the rankings at http://scotscores.theroonba.com/clubrank/clubrankwep.html and other pages have been updated to show the new linear leagues. Basically much closer leagues with only about 300 ranking points covering the league table in the three top divisions, so will be difficult to predict but here goes:

Premier - Auchinleck winners; Troon, Beith, Petershill relegated.

First - Benburb, Drumchapel, Kilbirnie top 3; St Roch's, Whitletts, Bonnyton bottom 3.

Second - Renfrew, Craigmark, Yoker top 3; Glasgow Uni, Muirkirk, Ardeer bottom 3.

Third - Vale of Clyde, Lesmahagow, Kello top 3 (or Finnart)

And if you compare to the end of last season - Cambuslang, Drumchapel and Ardeer all up 70+ places, while at the other end Dalry, Kilsyth, AWR lost the most positions.

    Prem-

    Winners- Pollok

    Relegated- Petershill, Rob Roy, Arthurlie

    First Division-

    Winners- Drumchapel

    Promoted- St Cadocs, Neilston

    Relegated- Thorniewood, Rossvale, Bonnyton

    Second Division-

    Winners- Maybole

    Promoted- Renfrew, Kilsyth

Relegated- Glasgow Uni, Muirkirk, St Anthonys

    Third Division-

    Winners- Ardrossan

    Promoted- Lesmahagow, Bellshill

If he had been manager of pollok or Talbot they would have won the league this year and that’s no d being disrespectful to  the greatest manager the juniors has known or to murdie , that’s my personal opinion

No harm meant to Mick, but if i had McEwan and McAnespie behind me I would probably have won the league for any of the top 3

I honestly thought dervel would work there way up the pyramid as long as the minging baker was prepared to back them. Massive shock to me the day that they didn’t clear the first hurdle ., makes you wonder whits going on wi Kennedy , Southey and mcanespie all coaching , crazy stuff🤷‍♂️

I don’t mind Kennedy, i think he always comes across as a genuine guy and see him doing a lot for clubs on social media but he can’t have much faith in his own coaching abilities to need that many coaches/assistants.
I reckon Micks probably the guy that knows players and is able to talk them into signing but must leave the coaching to the other guys

    Entity 1 - Formed 1888 folded by 1895

Entity 2 - Formed 1899 after Duntocher FC moved to Clydebank and changed their name accordingly before being disbanded around 1902.

    Entity 3 - Formed 1914 and defunct by 1931.

Entity 4 - 1964, the Steadmans merged East Stirlingshire FC with Clydebank juniors to form Clydebank FC before selling the stadium without a ground to play at, tinpot stuff, and playing home games at both Dumbarton and Greenock until they became Airdrie after being bought out around 1996.

Entity 5 - The current incarnation.

You've had more clubs than Jack Nicklaus ya clown shoe.

So Pacific Shelf are the same team then

I missed the part where I said it was impossible? Its very possible but much less convenient, practical and less regular than catching the one bus to the city centre for example. Anyway that’s just one reason Falkirk isn’t a great location for this final imo, I’m guessing you just don’t like the stadium?

The stadiums fine I just don't think finals should be played on plastic.

If its guid enough for the Champions League then I don’t see the problem with non league teams playing on it

What a result for Johnston’s Burgh today, rounding off a fantastic season.

Not sure how their budget compares to the rest of the league but would imagine they were punching well above their weight getting into next years 1st division.

Apparently 600 at the game today according to their fb page A hard to believe but absolutely brilliant if true (or even close!). Amazing what a club can achieve with some fresh blood into the committee and right managerial appointment!

Was about 50 there when i was up watching earlier in season. If they get 100 regular they’ll be doing great

Its no big deal, this was expected when the West started that a few teams would fold.

There's only 1 team folded in the East, the reason as they are experienced at u20s for a number of years so they know what is required regarding relationships with coaching staffs and committee and the work each have to do to get it running well whereas over in the West its all new

It’s no big deal? 7 teams from one conference have jacked it for one reason or another, its an absolute shambles
