You'd need to ask the clubs involved. I don't see any advantage to it at all, but plenty of negatives. Seems a bit strange as the season start is so long away players want a start date to aim for and ramp up there fitness etc to be peak for that time aimless training with no real goal etc can just breed the wrong mentality of just going through the motions however some of the players at this level might not have done any fitness work etc for months so could be doing with it ps that is all hypothetical because they shouldn’t be training the now

As I said previously mate banter is banter give and take but when people start making slanderous remarks etc that’s crossing the line I’ve always said looking forward to trying to take a darvel game in as they should defo enhance the league on and off the park and the profile of lower league football with there higher profile signings but they have a bit to go with there statements etc as they come off a bit full of it to say the least there is levels mate and if they want to climb the pyramid etc they will certainly have to conduct there selves far more professional online etc

Personally I hope he does come back mate I have no problems with coaches etc on here long as the stay sensible lol which no doubt he would have but I can fully understand his stance if he would rather not as it can go a little far on here sometimes

I don’t know everyone else thoughts but as I said I like them spending will raise the profile of league etc also manager certainly knows his stuff and rightly or wrongly comes on here and speaks well also the issue I imagine is certain things the club say etc comes off as total arrogance but the manager etc can’t control that and I wish darvel nothing but success they mind me of Kelty Hearts positive forward thinking and not afraid to put there cash in but a bit of humility and being a bit more humble goes a long way at least until they win everything
