He went to Turkey. Not sure about UK but starts around £2k over there. I would imagine his cost considerably more due to the fucking nick of it before.

I follow Davie Rogers on Twitter. Man's got a lot of good to say about Donnelly and has reassured his family this is a great club and city. What a man.

    Right on.

Yeah, I'm not hating on the guy. As follicly challenged myself, was just kind of wondering.

I personally don’t want these people involved in the running of any of our clubs as “fun projects”.

Just look at the farce at Wrexham. It’s all so false.

I'm referring to rich business owners/entrepreneurs/finance people with an interest in the sport. Not actors whose pockets aren't as deep looking for attention.

In the end, the Browns will sell the team to whomever gives them the most money. What you or I think doesn't matter. And clubs who lose money are beggars who can't be choosers.

Whats it being looked at as then?

    Hobby. Fun project.

If you have tens of millions of dollars and have always wanted to own your sports team, this is an opportunity, because there aren't any other better options here that would be anywhere close enough price-wise.

The owners aren't going to be giving up the businesses that made them their fortunes, and anyone with common sense knows you aren't going to make a ton of cash owning SJ.

Believe thats their expected market, but see little/no reason anyone would do it after the Dundee/United situations.

Would guess any prospective owner would ask the Dundee/United owners their thoughts and would likely be told to stay away.

Suspect we'll be up for sale for years with absent owners.

Dundee ownership has plenty of money. Can't say I know as much about United.

The MLS expansion fee is $150 million.

If someone has the money and a net worth of more than $25 million, I can see them rolling the dice on this to be in a top division in a country where they speak the language.

That Kieran Maguire who does football finances predicted around £7m/8m, due to the amount of land etc., youre getting alongside a club with a £5m turnover last season and over £3m in the bank.

Quite simply its too much for anyone to buy unless you plan to asset strip and get your money back.

Well, if the Browns get desperate to sell, I could see someone getting it for less than £5 million.

But there are some rich Americans who would like to get into sport ownership, and that's a fraction of the MLS expansion fee.

We literally dont have anyone to sack him, or even hire a new manager really.

Steve Brown is cutting all ties with the club this Summer and walking away. Hes virtually already at that stage. Geoff Brown is in his 80s and also has no interest in actually running the club.

Whos left is Roddy Grant (whos only a director because of his playing history and is absolutely not going to sack anybody), Ian Flaherty (was hired thanks to Davidson and is more in charge of the business side of the club), and Gus MacPherson (whos never clarified what he actually does at the club, flat out refused to even speak to fans to explain at an open night months ago and by the looks of things since he came in, football wise, gives Davidson free reign to do what he wants.).

So aye. Davidson isnt getting sacked anytime soon.

    Is SJ fan-owned?

I lived in Ireland,Scotland and America as a kid and my accent would often change to suit. I have had a boring monotone Andy Murray type accent since adulthood though and when I hear Kevin Bridges do his in posh Scot type sketches I laugh and hate myself at the same time.

    Interesting.

What took you around to the different places? Parents work?

I don't feel too bad about yesterday. It feels a bit shite to say, but at least we had a go. Usually we just turn up and roll over. We made plenty of mistakes, but that happens most weeks. If you've any chance of beating Rangers (or Celtic) you're going to need 14-16 of your players to be absolutely perfect on the day. Sadly we aren't likely to do that, because we've got a 4ft 11 goalkeeper with wee arms and midfielders not worthy of the name

I can only echo the comment from @thisGRAEME about Casey's run in the second half. If that had ended in a goal, I would've been on the park celebrating with him (scudding Dougie Ross as I went).

    lol...
