Indoor soccer in the 1980s was badass. The Kansas City team at one point was drawing 15K people every home game, and they were a blast. They'd turn out all the lights for player intros and have a spotlight with laser lights going everywhere.

Astounded. It did feel like we wanted Vigurs and the terms of that deal was Draper came along for the ride. We didn't need any more DCM's or CB's at that time.

Think the fans thought dropping from the Premiership to L1 he'll do ok but it was evident from the offset the game was far too quick for him. I wonder if a Cove scout actually watched him before we signed him or took in off of past reputation only

    Probably the latter.

3 year deal and after the first couple of games you could see he's completely lost it. Immobile and marked shadows. Must be our worst signing in many many years.

He played the PS cup games along with the first half dozen league games and then got dropped and eventually Elgin saved our blushes slightly and gladly took him on loan.

2 years left..We need to terminate that deal if we can or constantly loan him out to anyone we can!

What was the initial reaction of the fans when they gave him 3 years? Were people wondering, "What the hell?"

    Charlie never stood a chance.

emoji23.png Brilliant. I can start my day knowing an American, in America, and a follower of Scottish Football, now knows about Clark’s in Dundee.

Can recommend the Gut Buster 🤤

Is Clark's generally thought of as good?  Or is it more fast/drunk food that you get when you're out and about or at 3 in the morning after a night of getting hammered?

Thanks. Try and say it how I see it.

Been in all of the Championship team threads throughout the season and especially now we're promoted. Looking forward to seeing a few new grounds and the challenge of competing at a higher level. A few new players would help as would offloading the likes of Draper, Leitch and Gourlay but the later is maybe wishful thinking.

Draper seems to have fallen off a cliff the last two seasons.

Yeah, I don't know if the training regime had much to do with it because a few of our squad looked terribly unfit. My son even said that I was in better condition than Adam and Griffiths and I'm in my 40's and only play 5's once a week.

Concur. Probably more due to pies and beer. Maybe Keyes needs to invest in hiring a dietician adviser?

Also, props on still playing. I'm basically relegated to sand volleyball as everything else is too rough on the body.

Charlie’s actions from the day he wrapped his car around a tree pished weren’t good enough and imo. Performances on the park, getting way out of shape for a top flight professional then in his words “a funny wee story” about him forgetting his boots and shin guards for a near as last nail in the coffin game isn’t good enough. I thought he was taking the piss that day even before the boots and shin guards story.

Disappointing how it ended but he’d made out in the press for weeks he was retiring at the end of the season and hinting on Twitter things to the same effect.

A shite ending to a shite season under a shite manager in McPake. More optimistic now about my club since the appointment of McIntyre. Says it all really.

Noting that he was the best player on the team, this was what got me. Stay in decent condition and he maybe plays another two years.
