It’s not impossible but given the goal difference the gap is effectively 5 points. It is absolutely hearts to throw away.

We could still relatively easily finish bottom 6 if we keep up our away record and record against the OF in the next few games. Add in that post split we’d need to go to tynecastle and likely win, which is about as common as hearts winning at pittodrie.

Hearts will most likely get this over the line.

Aberdeen will finish third, calling it here and now.

(which with my track record of predictions basically means you'll probably get taken to the woodshed every match from here on out)

Anyway, after that brief moment of schadenfreude, I still think there’s too much to do to finish 3rd but it’s nice to be in the conversation at least.

After Jim’s ‘terrible week’ I really thought the season was over but for avoiding getting sucked into a relegation scrap.

You're four points out of third with nine matches left. Not exactly an insurmountable task, especially with another head-to-head vs. Hearts.

Shaping up to be an interesting few weeks.  Between us, Dundee Utd and St Johnstone, if results go for us we could overtake the latter and pretty much be safe(ish).

In fact, there’s an outcome where we also overtake Aberdeen as well…

    Top 6 is a gimme.

You were just slow-playing the first six months of the season to make a late run into the top 6 and grab a Euro spot in May.

Just want to congratulate Aberdeen on ending their miserable run.

Hammell has lost the plot. The secret is clearly to pick players who stunk out the place the pervious match. That usually ends well. SODS and Goss should be on the bench at best.

Hopefully this will be the final straw as I can see nothing other than a defeat 😡

Lamie was bad two years ago. Not going to claim to be a Well expert, but why does he keep getting trotted out there?

Think the Gio reign has run its course now with a big clear out required. His style just doesn’t suit us, the constant backwards recycling of possession just to keep a hold of the ball holds us back and we don’t have any impetus or penetration.

Do it now and give someone new the World Cup break to get to work.

To play devil's advocate, nine weeks ago he put you in CL, and he's five months removed from taking you to the EL final and winning the Scottish Cup.

Granted, the CL campaign didn't go well, but he still got you there and the £40 million (or whatever).

You'd basically be chucking a guy for three bad domestic games (Celtic, Livingston, SJ), one of which was a tie. Otherwise, he may have been better off losing in CL qualifying and having success in EL.

Not sure what his buyout is, but you may want to give him the WC break and January transfer window.

I’m heading to the saloon for the Saints game and I’ve found the broncos Austin group so I’m off to lavaca for the bronco’s game. Just need redzone for the early games.

Props to you for actually wanting to watch the Broncos play.

The food place inside Lavaca on the north side, that you can also order from on the street, is good. Not cheap, but decent portions.

I need redzone and chicken wings. Shouldn’t be too much to ask.

Since we play Sunday night, The Tavern will have a fair amount of different games during the day, but not sure on Red Zone. Shoal Creek Saloon is more Cajun-style food, can't recall on the wings, but it'll obviously have the NO game.

Worst-case scenario you can always go to a Pluckers, which has about as chain-sports-bar-a-feel as you can get, but will have everything needed football-wise.

Interesting. Do American cities have bars that are specifically for separate NFL teams across the country?

I imagine that Titans bars outside of Nashville will be held in phone boxes.

Pretty much, and for other sports, including EPL and La Liga, as well.

Though they can change depending on how many people show up, the bar's management, broadcast ability, etc.

The Tavern used to be a FC Barcelona bar, but their fans switched to another bar due to various factors.

It's now popular for various bars to open at 6 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays for EPL supporter groups.

@AmericanFan lives in Austin, perhaps he could point out the best place to watch it?

    @steelmen

Shoal Creek Saloon is a Saints bar if memory serves correct.

Maybe not the best sports bar in the world, but you'll be surrounded by other NO fans. The Tavern, which is about 40 yards away, is a Chiefs bar.

Rosita's Al Pastor is my go-to place for tacos, and I personally like the brisket sandwich at La BBQ, which is east of I-35.

One of my other favorite bbq places is a hole-in-the-wall in Manor, but you don't need to drive out there.

    Me too.

We had a minibus of about 20 of us coming up from Stirling on the Saturday, staying the night in Aberdeen after the game and coming home Sunday lunchtime.

When the funeral was arranged for Saturday and game put back to Sunday we augmented our plans to going up to Aberdeen teatime, night on the piss then home straight after the game.

I was 20 year old at the time and, rather foolishly ripped the arse out it on the drink, ended up taking a young lady back to my room who was, shall we say no stranger to a sausage supper, whom my mates clocked doing the 'walk of shame' from the room Sunday morning and rather cruelly dubbed her 'Aberdeen Agnes' 🤦‍♂️😂

Made the game (just) but was in no fit state to be there, tragically and, some would say comically I was violently sick up the top tier of the Dick Donald stand approximately ten seconds into Diana's minutes silence 🤦‍♂️🤮

My only other recollection of the day was David Hopkins scoring a couple and drinking about three 2litre bottles of water on the bus back down to Stirling after the match.

A fitting tribute to the princess of Hearts I'd opine.
