    What can I say after the second running of the singles? @SlipperyP a massive thank you for organising the tournament, keeping the correct scores and ensuring civility on the course, if not the clubhouse. @pleslie99 it has been an honour to take you on as captain. Only you and I know how much time & effort it takes to make not only team selections but consider when the players go out. To the RoTW team, I hope you have enjoyed the tournament and the banter. We could have another re-run of the singles, but as Einstein said "insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results". Scotland, My Scotland, what a performance. This was truly a team event where everyone played their part. Special mention to @101 for winding up the RoTW in the closing singles matches. I raise my glass to you all and hope you are enjoying the celebrations. @SlipperyP says the next tournament will be in Scotland. Please start breeding midgies and letting wild haggis roam the course, to deter our opponents. See Ya

    For some reason I had @Arch Stanton down for a 9 in the final round rather than his 10. Apologies to him. As @SlipperyP has stated the singles results means that the tournament is tied.

    Captains Log 12/10/21 As some of you will be aware @Cardinal Richelieu scored 8 meaning the RoTW win overall by one point. I would firstly offer my thanks and appreciation to @SlipperyP for the excellent way in which he has both run the competition and ensured That the rough was just the correct length, the fairways were fast and the greens well manicured. To the whole Scotland team, my thanks for playing your part and keeping the opposition sweating until the last hole. I hope everyone has enjoyed this, and the ongoing banter (mainly directed at me, mind). My fellow captain @pleslie99, it has been a pleasure to pit my team selections against yours. I'm sure neither of us anticipated the work involved when we stood up to take the posts. Finally, my sincere congratulations to the winning RoTW team for securing the trophy. If the competition is held again next year, I warn you in advance we will be coming for you, although perhaps with a different captain.
