  1. I’m laughing because it’s not true, I wasn’t even the manager at that point. Kevin was slightly confused all been cleared up, it was 10 years ago. I’ve been through this nonsense before, I even offered to take a lie detector test to prove my point.
  2. The capacity was cut by around 500, Darvel capacity for the game is 1800 and Falkirk is 900. Darvel have sold out, I believe Falkirk have very limited numbers of tickets left and will sell out. As I have said before we appreciate every bit of support we get, we will continue to try and grow the fan base but the club is in a great position off the park we will continue working hard to improve.
  3. Right I’ve said enough, I’m away to get my tactics board out for the mora. Good luck to your clubs for the remainder of the season.
  4. At the end of the financial year for the club, same as any other business.
  5. Andy I go on the number the club gives me after games, in honesty why would I lie. As I have said the crowd against Petershill was over 300, it was the same the home game before I think Jim actually questioned the number when it was posted.
  6. Sorry Andy I meant our average attendance is more than 100-150.
  7. We played Petershill a couple of weeks back, the crowd was just over 300, that obviously varies but we are above 100-150 fans. As I said. If that it matters I appreciate anyone who comes particularly in these times
  8. The work was required to get the crowd above 2200, it was also about improving the ground as whole. The obviously varies, but around 300, but your comparing us to clubs that have had years of of success. We are trying to build all aspects of the club including the fan base, it all takes time. But games like tomorrow, help build that connection with the community
  9. We have sold nearly 2200 tickets, that will sell out today. As club we really appreciate everyone who has a bought a ticket to support us. We have more than 200 fans at home games I can assure you, but that doesn’t that matter. Success isn’t judged on the number of fans you have, but I suppose it’s an easy compare us to Auchinleck and criticise. Let’s be honest tho they are the benchmark for a community supported club, not just at our level several levels above. They a model of excellence for lower league clubs, I have so much respect and admiration for everything they stand for, something we will all strive to become. But we need to find out own way, if we can be successful we can grow the fan base, on the of games like Monday it generates more exposure to grow that fan base and generate significant income and more commercial sponsorship.
  10. Sorry I meant our allocation, I don’t know what Aberdeen have sold
  11. The game will 100% sell out there only I small number of tickets left.
  12. I’m not sure what the ground material has been changed to but I know it’s at the spec required.
  13. He doing well mate, fitted in really he’s a great lad. Good to yous starting to pick up a bit now in the league
  14. That why there is a barrier there and the ground has been dug up and relayed
  15. As far as the council are concerned there are no health and safety concerns, we have met every required standard for the capacity. We haven’t been required to do any additional work, I think Colin detailed the works in a earlier post I’m sure. We didn’t set out to reach any particular capacity figure, we carried out the work as requested to allow us to use the banking. After we detailed all the work we were granted the capacity based on the calculations and health safety requirements used. The same criteria that will used for all grounds at our level.
  16. There nothing allegedly about it the ground capacity for the match is 4,000 nothing has changed. Aberdeen have been given 1750 tickets for their part of the ground, it’s up to them how many they wish to sell.
  17. As I have already said, all safety aspects in terms of the agreed capacity of 4000 have been met. These request Safety Advisor Group chaired by the council. We have followed all requirements set out, if you read park circus post that will give you an indication of the works. We didn’t set the capacity after all the works were complete it was the council
  18. It doesn’t have a barrier ? the full area has been rebuilt and has new barrier around the full area. We do have the capacity it was calculated by the local authority, it’s 4000 Aberdeen are contesting the flow for their fans. We can’t control that, all these details had been discussed and agreed at previous meetings.
  19. They aren’t requesting free tickets, everyone who has requested a ticket will be paying for one that was always the agreement. We aren’t scrambling, when we made the decision to keep the game at Darvel, we decided the increase in crowd was also an opportunity to improve part of the ground. I see no issue with that it’s all part of the progress of the club off the park, there will be more improvements carried out in the summer
  20. I agree it’s totally unfair on Pollok, unfortunately Glasgow City Council seem extremely difficult to deal with. what I will say is we have had to put so much more infrastructure to get the ground capacity up
  21. The 1750 was the number agreed after discussion with Aberdeen, they were part of that agreement. There has been several meeting with all parties, on the works and allocated tickets. It was only at the final meeting today to sign everything off they raised concerns, not about the allocation but the flow. The whole ground as been restructured and designed to meet the health and safety requirements agreed by all parties 4 weeks ago. The issue is Aberdeen issue, we have done everything asked of us. Jim I can assure the 2250 isn’t enough, we have over 1000 requests for tickets for players and committees family and friends. That’s before you take into consideration Darvel fans, Aberdeen fans and neutral fans.
