  1. You can sign an amateur contract at any level in the pyramid
  2. I’m not sure, but I travel through more every day to work. You can’t have a pyramid structure that is aligned to the professional game and not classify the clubs within as professional. The players are paid a salary, they sign professional contracts.
  3. After the Government classed us as professional football, if we are closed down everyone out with the SPL will need to be shut down. I can’t and hop that doesn’t happen
  4. If you are referring to Darvel, our floodlights are on course to be in place for the requested date. I’m not sure if they would retrospectively grant a licence. I wouldn’t have thought so tho, the issue would be with the LL wether they would accept the club or not. I’m not sure but I think there has been a couple of clubs accepted before their lights were fully operational but I could be wrong
  5. It’s your previous 3 years prior to the application date, so this season doesn’t count. But they wouldn’t not grant a club a licence due the impact of covid
  6. Well if clubs are doing that they must have the income to support it. I’m not aware of any club that has agreed to pay players full wage across the full season. But I suppose I don’t know the inner workings of each club.
  7. Well it’s based on income and expenditure. Clubs still have income, from various sources that will meet current expenditure levels. Every club’s income will be down, but so will expenditure. So am sure anyone who was in a place to get promoted will be ok
  8. As I have said, clubs were asked there opinion on should the 3 clubs be promoted the overwhelming majority said yes. Does it really matter now, surely we have moved on
  9. Am I missing something do darvel have floodlights or anything to fit the licence points if they do sorry but if they dont how can u get it done has quick when other teams have took a few years to get permission etc to get these things in place or is it cause its darvel we will bend the rules I aint beginning funny you have not played in the big leagues for a long time what gives yous the right to even think about the lowland league or spl this year when half the league has gone and even if u did win it how the hell can u get promoted if u dont have things in place unless its already arranged like legal route like u did when u got promoted if I was u I would keep my mouth shut nothing against ambition but you lot take the biscuit to think u will win the league get promoted and get all the work done by what march to get the licence your sitting in la la la land if u do The only outstanding piece of work required for licence is floodlights, they should be complete by February’s deadline. All other works have been carried over the last two seasons. We have already submitted our license application, and are going through the various stages just now. That won’t mean we will win league, there are many top teams left in it. We are just happy to be in the premier division. And we got there without legal proceedings, as I’ve said before the clubs voted that the 3 championship clubs should get promoted
  10. Ha thank you mate I’m sure there loads of competition still in the league, clubs with more experience than us we will see what the future brings. We do value the supporters moneyWe value you everything they bring to the club, we are just trying to run the club as best we can. Like every business and sector we making decisions that we believe are in the best interest of the clubs long term future, a future we’re supporters are and will be the life blood of the club
  11. I think John been in it for 5 years but hey ho. I’m not sure if you think the amatuer thing be littles me but am pretty happy with what we achieved in amatuer football. Take care and stay safe
  12. He doesn’t need to foot the bill fir everything, you know the clubs in a strong financial position
  13. I’m sure the fans will come back out their numbers, time will tell tho
  14. Certainly no loans involved, as it stands the club can support what we have in place no need to worry
  15. I think it should go to every club. Clubs will still have operating cost etc to cover. Especially the smaller clubs
  16. We made a decision that we felt was in the best interest of the club, we wanted to ensure we had a strong vibrant club for the fans to return. We felt we needed to keep the momentum behind the club, people need to remember we are trying to build a club that can compete with the top sides in the country. If we took a year out we would have started back in a much weaker position, I felt we had a responsibility to ensure that didn’t happen. If the club manages to get promoted in the coming years, then the LL is somewhere we will need to play, that was the decision we all made when we moved to the new structure
  17. Of course fans are the most important part of the club, any club for that matter. They will always be needed, but we’ve taken a decision that we believe will continue to keep the club in a strong position for the coming years. The club made a decision based on the the outcomes we had set for the next few years and decided taking a year out could be extremely harmful to the plan we had set out.
  18. It’s not that players wouldn’t take a reduction, they agreed not to take a pay until the league was confirmed as starting which was last week. the board decided what they felt was fair and reasonable for the players and viable for for the club. We are in agreement, we have consulted with players all the way through the process
  19. That not happening tho, everyone will be treated equally, John and myself would never allow that to happen. Changing rooms are too small and tight nit to start that nonsense.
  20. They have been getting paid their full wage, since two weeks ago, in-line with an overall agreement we have with the players to allow us to see the season out depending on what happens with fans etc.
  21. Exploiting players don’t talk nonsense, if that case where all the clubs exploiting players during pre season training and playing friendlies? Every club will have consulted players, they would have had significant say in any decision their club made. Clubs have made decisions they believe are in the best interests of their clubs, they have reached comprises to allow them to play. Others have decided for various reasons not to for various reasons. Usual lies about Kilwinning and Darvel, tell me one player at Darvel that’s getting paid under the table and one player that’s isn’t?
