I remember going to Firhill for the play-off against QP and being mind blown that they were selling a steak, black pudding and peppercorn sauce pie. Even that was only around the £3 mark if I remember rightly.
Add on to that the burnt pie-gate & cremated sausage roll-gate when Falkirk & Alloa visited last season, it looks pretty clear that our concessions stand is very much underachieving compared to the competition.
Hopefully one for the supporters liaison to get on top of.

A reminder that the last time we were in the Championship we were lining up with such football luminaries as Liam Coogans, Nathan Blockley, Alan Cook and Ryan Donnelly.

I got back into playing last week. Didn’t realise how much I missed it as its been a good few years since I played any number of games in a season. Put it off and put it off this summer as had been having a shit time work wise, but great to be back in and amongst it. Netted for the first time on years on Thursday also, big wake-up call to how far off it I am. Even been scoring some 1st XI games the last few weeks too. I did like getting the coloured pens out and keeping my scorebook nice and neat but the live scoring on the iPad is just so much easier.
Anyway, see Liam Dawson hit 140 odds and took 6 wickets in the Championship in response to Stokes & Baz calling up Rehan Ahmed. Good way to do it.

Yes, but interesting that McCabe said “agreed to deals” but the paperwork hasn’t been done yet.
Do remember Stuart millar coming out and besmirching Leighton McIntosh for jetting off to Wrexham after he’d agreed terms with us.

Buzzing for the Frizzell signing. Think it’s actually a bit of a coup as I’m sure he’ll have had his suitors at the same level. Hoping for Gabby showing off the new away kit soon.
As for the third kit, I’ve never really been a big one for extra strips, albeit I did buy last years as a protest to the non-Diamond. With us having such an iconic kit the third strip at least allows us to change it up a bit, and as like this one be a bit different. Will be holding off until I see the other two before I buy.

This is a decent start. Not quite sure how he’ll fit in or if it’s a case of sharing the workload with Gallagher.
Now to unveil Frizzell & McGill tonight, then we’ll be cooking with gas.

The 2010-11 Surridge home & away tops were winners for me, and the home is the only one I’ve kept. Anything that has a collar like this and a bit of subtle trim on the shirt rather than diamond and white everything else.
Around this time was a proper existential crisis kit wise. Releasing a random Umbro red “away” kit in February and raiding the kit room for an old Diadora set to put a new sponsor on 2/3rds of the way through the next season particular highlights
EDIT: to be fair thinking back, it wasn’t just an existential crisis kit wise, it was a real struggle to keep a team on the park through this era.

Thought I would be a lot more gutted to see Smith go. I thought he was enormously frustrating over the last three/six months. Sure he tried hard but always wanted to take an extra touch or beat a man a second time. As other have said probably about the right time he moved on and wish him all the best as he has been a good servant.

Think as a baseline we should be looking to go baws to the wall to keep Frizzell & McGill, and therein lies a decent framework to work with.

Liam Dawson would be my outside pick. Habitual water carrier for England and actually decent red ball form in the Championship.
Found it mental that Sky didn’t show any Blast games yesterday since the Ireland test ended early, albeit the YouTube streams from the counties is actually quite decent. But after all is that not what their “pod” is for? Hitching to the back of a Hilux and going to whatever game took their fancy? Or is it just further sticking of the Blast to the back burner to give The Hundred more publicity?
