  1. Raith worthy winners. A bit more like it in the second half and some bad luck (Dobbie thru' on keeper, hit bar and two off the line) ......... but oh dear, that defence ...... Jesus ...
  2. Can't argue with the scoreline here, Raith much better. Queens defence far too pedestrian and we offer zip in the final third. Never mind defending crosses, our own crosses aren't much better. First time I've seen PPV - impressed with the production and the commentary. Is our MOTD Wannabe part of the production team here?
  3. At the risk of continuing this saga .... I just don't agree with you MT (implying that his improvement has mostly been since leaving QOS). I said in one of my first posts that I was up at Tannadice, first game of the season when United came down to the Championship and I think it was Dykes first game for us. He gave the only just ex-premier defence a torrid time running on the left wing and bossing those defenders (especially first half). He was clearly something different to what we'd had in recent times. We were in The Shed that game and I turned to my son and said "this guys different, doubt he'll be with us too long". Whilst he didn't score many goals I never saw him not work his socks off in games (even when things weren't going for us) and he nearly always gave defenders a tough time of it, held the ball up well and often made space for Dobbie to do his stuff. I was sorry but not surprised to see him go. Reminded me of Sean O'Connor at his peak - only quicker and more mobile. Just my view.
  4. Jeez MT gie the lad a break ...... you never heard of young players developing/improving with experience? Or do you expect the finished article from the outset?
  5. C'mon FFS Arbroath .......... we need you to be sh*te this season ...... !
  6. Yep, that's what it looked like to me ..... it was Ginnelly who looked threatening at the start ....... zip from Hertz since
  7. Sorry if it's already been covered earlier, but why has Naismith been on the bench the past 2 games, still not match fit from injury?
  8. Any reason why? High winds perhaps? Those furry lined checked bomber jackets though.....
  9. Not usually a problem.... we normally close the roof in conditions like that
  10. ^^^^^^ This. There's no doubt that better organisation/communication in the centre of defence can't go wrong for when the ball does come in to the box - especially with a newly formed squad like QOS have. Equally, when you watch the top sides they always work really hard to close down the wide men and stop the crosses coming in at source in the first place. Easier said than done I guess.
  11. Aye well, it's done and over. We lost. Move on. Next up ....... the mighty Kircaldy juggernaut .....
  12. You know, I do believe that we are beginning to comprehend your opinion of QOS here - good of you to keep reminding us though, excellent work ....
  13. Subbuteo always ended up in a fight ........ "that wisnae a flick, that wis a shove ........ 'no ah didnae it wis a flick" ..... aye right ....". Somehow Fifa 21 and all its predecessors just doesn't quite capture the same magic of the game ....
  14. Thanks for reminding us of your opinion again "Messi", some folk on here of a southern persuasion were probably in danger of forgetting your opinion. Oh, and in case Mr McGlynn reads P&B ....... please note that we're helluva good at defending crosses into the box so I wouldn't bother with that archaic tactic on Saturday, you'd be wasting your time. Just sayin' like ........ whistles .....
  15. Get in big fella. Haven't seen it yet but seems to have taken his goal well according to the radio.
  16. ....... and you might consider hardwiring your PC directly into your broadband router with a network cable to remove any weakness in your WiFi signal....... as if I even have a single digital clue what I'm talking about here....
  17. ..... Yeah, bit of a bummer that....... Oh, and a team who also fielded 10 players who weren't on the books last season and who had only played together once before competitively .... you forgot that bit.... Congrats though!
  18. Anyway, to more important matters "Coventry Saint" .... hope the rest of your Saturday went much better than the football and the family are all well - if it's a boy trust you'll call him "Stephen" (or Stephanie if its a girl) in memory of the day! Cheers from QOS ...
  19. Cheers ...... goes without saying, total legend down the Clyde Riviera!
