I understand the meaning of corruption, by sounds of it you don't.  Here this might help you out>
dishonest or fraudulent conduct by those in power, typically involving bribery.

Tom brown is chairman of the Lowland league but he is telling everyone and the Lowland league that no matter what they do the conference is coming. that is just not a conflict of interests, its worse, why is he saying these things either he is delusional, (could be that), or (he's been told by other parties to make sure everyone gets onside with a yes vote) and he was that dumb, he said it on the official catch up that the conference was coming no matter what happens.  My view, (and truly cannot understand how anyone would think otherwise), this is a guy in power is he being dishonest or fraudulent and what is the reason for this

Neil Doncaster, the chief executive of the SFA, then becomes a director of a league that is not even formed and he pushes it, along with others to have it formed. As his main job is chair executive of the SFA is this not a conflict of interests.   Again   A guy in power is he being dishonest or fraudulent and what is the reason for this, well he did become a director of a company that he wanted inserted into the Scottish pyramid league at tier 5.

It is scary how people like you and others on previous posts are totally ignoring this.  Genuinely no wonder Scottish Football is the way it is with people having all their own agenda that fecks up Scottish Football

It’s astonishing how inaccurate one post can be.  Given your recent efforts you do seem to have a world class talent for this though.

You keep chucking darts at the board blindfolded pal.  Eventually you’ll get one in the general direction.

Without being disrespectful to anyone who lost a loved one................and I know some of this is a statutory requirement, but it all feels a bit drawn out and unnecessary (not just up here, but in England as well)?

    • The relatives are going to learn nothing new as all the politicians have covered their arses
    • Again, without being unkind, a lot of people in care homes may have died of something else like flu
    • Nobody will go to jail as a result of their ineptitude

The only people who will make money are - as usual - the legal profession. I did some work in the (big) house of a KC, and she was on this inquiry (via zoom or teams) full time, doubtless on a rate no less than £500 a day.

All that is going to happen is that we learn our leaders made mistakes, say that they would have done it differently, and promise not to do it again - all at a cost of hundreds of millions to taxpayers.

Did I mention I think its a waste of time?

I think you underestimate how much decent lawyers charge.

Apart from that you’re bang on.

Neil Doncaster the SFA chief executive is named as director of the 'Scottish Conference league Limited' incorporated in 9th May 2023. No wonder he tried to keep his mouth shut and have Maxwell be the front of the main push.  Yeah and he became director to make sure it was run correctly.   Sorry if this is not corruption then i do not know what is.  What would you call it, Brazil Forever? friendly banter

Tom Brown who did not have the casting vote to incorporate B teams into the Lowland league, was the chairman who said on the official Catchup Podcast, (23rd Aprfil 2023 Series #123) That the conference league was going ahead no matter what Highland league voted for or what the Lowland league, (he is chairman of), no matter what they voted for.  No is that is not a clash of interest and is a conflict of interested in regards to his role as chairman of the Lowland league.   Sorry if this is not corruption then i do not know what is. What would you call it, Brazil Forever? friendly banter

Civil Service Strollers were the team, I'm informed, that voted that relegation should not be looked into for the Lowland league until the SPFL2 open up relegation, is this self preservation or knowing that it is shafting's the rest of Scottish football from tier 6 down

Do you understand the meaning of the  word corruption?

People voting in a way/taking decisions you may not agree with does not make them corrupt.

The big choice is between Tuipolotu and Redpath - do you go with the outstanding club 10-12 pairing, or the outstanding club 12-13 one?

No doubt Toony will surprise no-one and do neither.

Any electronic data can be destroyed as can paper (obviously) so they didn't need to use the likes of WhatsApp to do that. I'm also not convinced deleted WhatsApp messages are not recoverable by experts in that field. I've always been lead to believe that it's use is banned for most work purposes as it's not secure enough. It seems though it's use is common place at the highest level throughout many institutions.

Would love to know what they were actually using it for, surely more group chat tittle tattle than govt policy decisions and the likes ?

If you put enough effort in sure.  Corporate archiving/retention systems mean the user can’t do this themselves though.  The deletion would have to be ordered and performed by someone else.  A lot more difficult to hide and probably an illegal act.

It has been said that the definition of MADNESS is doing the same thing time and time again BUT each time expecting a different outcome, I think it's encouraging to see that many habitual Tory/Labour voters are starting to realise this.

The tribalistic Tory/Labour mindset just leaves people unseen and voiceless and I think by voting elsewhere it serves to WAKE UP the 'establishment' and gain back a little power and respect for the electorate, take away the Tory/Labour vote and just WATCH them try and woo you back, they might actually try to put the UK first for a change

BOTH Tory/Labour expect their vote, they are self entitled, they manipulate, even the voting system is rigged in their favour, they are historically incompetent and crooked and it's simply time to vote for someone else1 If I had a window cleaner who was poor but the fellow down the road was worse I'd sack them BOTH!!! Stand as a man not a weak, manipulated fool.

I will be voting REFORM UK and I think they will do very well.

In an absolutely tragic case, two year old Bronson Battersby was found dead in Skegness earlier this week.  His father, Kenny Battersby, was also found dead at the address.  It appears that Kenny died of a heart attack at some point and Bronson died of starvation or dehydration after being trapped in the flat.  Bronson had a social worker, who would visit once a month.  The social worker called at the flat on the 2nd and then again on the 4th but there was no answer and the police were called on both occasions.  Finally on the 9th the landlord opened the flat for social work and the bodies were discovered.  Apparently, the post mortem showed Kenny Battersby died around the 29th of December.

Timeline on the case here - https://news.sky.com/story/bronson-battersby-a-timeline-of-events-leading-up-to-toddlers-death-13050720?dcmp=snt-sf-twitter

Bronson's mother has criticised social workers, telling The Sun:

Bronson's mother had not seen him since November.

I don't know the full circumstances and the entire case is awful but I can't imagine having a two year old and not seeing him or checking in on him for a few days, let alone months.  Clearly the mother has experienced a huge tragedy and it's understandable to look for people to blame but I'm not sure social workers can be fully responsible for this.  Knowing a few social workers myself, if they starting kicking in the doors of everyone who missed an appointment, there's going to be a lot of busted doors.

Does anyone know the reasons for him having a social worker?  I haven't seen that anywhere.  I'm assuming that it wasn't because he was at risk of harm or that would probably have come out by now but I'm curious to the reasons the Police were called on the first missed appointment.

The mother won't be alone in looking for people to blame but on the face of it at the moment this seems like a tragic set of events that no-one can be blamed for.

ETA apparently concerns were raised about his wellbeing which might explain why the police were contacted.

Looking to buy my son's (18) first car. He found one on Facebook marketplace which we went to see and took out for a drive. Nice car, full service history starting in 2013 and the mileage increases add up. Said we'd let him know by tomorrow.

Got home, did a check with green flag and everything was ok apart from the tax.

The thing is the ownership. One owner up until June 2023 and then zilch. No registered owner. MOT was done in November and lasts until Nov 24. Tax ran out when it was sold in June last year, yet we went out for a test drive earlier and he said he'd been using it.

It's a really good car for my son and he would buy it if down to him and the seller we spoke to seemed to be quite open and honest. Although it was done from an industrial unit rather than a family home.

I've probably answered my own question.

Go back tomorrow night and chore it.  He ain’t phoning plod (possibly) and your laddie gets a free car to ferry you home from the pub at weekends.
