  1. Armadale will make a full page announcement on going EoS on 1st April, just so folk are unable to tell if it's an April fool or not.
  2. That's good to know, sounds like quite a robust process. Although, I was referring to the teams that are funded through criminal means.
  3. Wow, looks like they may even have toilets now! Seriously though, it looks nice. The potential was always there for the Volly, it was just tired and had seen better days. It's good that they've been able to spend some time sorting a number of different areas out. Still awaiting their official, "EoS here we come, woohoo", statement.
  4. Will be interesting to see how many of the current EoS applicants get knocked back after all checks have been completed. If integrity is a meaningful cornerstone of the EoS, I can see at least 2 being knocked back.
  5. 100% agree with the above. The EoS should call it now and allow teams to build towards next season with an earlier start date to mitigate any potential COVID pauses next season.
  6. Agreed. I hope they all go EoS but I just had a wee look at the West Lothian map to refresh my memory, and totally forgot how close Fauldhouse were to the boundary. Personally, if Harthill can apply WoS I see no issue with Fauldhouse trying too.
  7. It seems to circle around their "funding arrangements".
  8. Credit to the Camelon Chairman for putting out a statement, and for the club going through the correct channels to investigate the accusations.
  9. Must be something major going on for such a mass walkout/sackings
  10. Na, they'll all be too busy phoning the WoS board pleading with them to reconsider....
  11. It was a very short meeting, with an update on the current suspension and more potential constitutional changes ahead of the AGM. No questions were raised by the clubs. When is the AGM?
  12. Doesn't look too bad for any newbies. Is there a date the current season needs to be concluded by, or is it a possibility that it gets extended to the end of July? Assuming we're allowed to get back playing football in the next couple of months.
  13. I believe the 3 applications that have already been received were input before a certain WL club, who seem to be the driving force behind a push to the WoS, started trying to turn heads. I think the poster above hit the nail on the head. The most sensible thing to do would be to apply for both leagues and see how it all pans out.
  14. I'm not saying it should already be ratified, I'm simply pointing out both league structures for newbies joining are unknown. It's full of ifs/maybes/i'm guessing. Both yourself and Ginaro have confirmed a new club would be venturing into the unknown. I hope we know more after the WoS and EoS meetings which i believe take place in the 1st of March. How long does it take for official word to trickle out of these meetings?
  15. Doesn't sound like it's untrue going by the above. What i was getting at is nothing has been ratified for the next season, and until that happens who knows what it'll look like. With the WoS only having an interim board at the moment, and any decisions about the shape of EoS still to happen, it makes it tricky for clubs to know what to do especially with the deadline for applications only 30 odd days away.
  16. I'll start off by admitting I support one of the West Lothian teams that are looking to join the pyramid this time round. I believe we should have applied a couple of seasons ago to the EoS and also believe the EoS is probably the route that should still be taken. However, the WoS must still be viewed as a viable option. Living on the western boundary of the EoS or the eastern boundary of the WoS is going to cause travel issues regardless of where we fall. But the main issue for me is the fact that no one knows in any detail what the league makeup will look like in either region next season (thanks to the pandemic). We're essentially fumbling around in the dark, which i get is out own fault for not moving sooner. Realistically, what would be the real issues for WL being a mix WoS and EoS? Is there not only 3 WL team currently in the EoS? We're not talking masses are we (before someone points out, yeah I know there are 0 in the WoS currently). As has been pointed out numerous times already, it doesn't need to fit to the council area. I've only dipped in and out of this thread and the EoS equivalent as what will be will be. There's no point being caught up in "past traditions" as that's exactly what was left behind when teams moved to a new association. As Bestsinceslicebread mentioned, it's a clean slate. I hope whoever makes the decision bases it on facts and not hard feelings towards others. Although if they base a decision around a promise of moving the current WL league as a whole and trying to slot it in as a complete division somewhere, it would would be extremely shortsighted.
