  1. When we likely to get the full results is it early Saturday, or should we have an idea before then?
  2. I dont think the euro works perfectly for a lot of other countries. The German economy is so big and so dependent on selling goods outside its borders that it causes difficulties to other countries especially but not only the Sothern European countries
  3. hard to argue with that, id go even further to say its the best video ever
  4. The Farm Stone Roses Mogwai Cockney Rejects Elton John
  5. Interesting list, I quite liked the Scotia Future party ideas They might be complete roasters I dont know but the ideas i like
  6. I seen a refugee from Syria on reporting Scotland a wee while back on getting to vote, I think it was his first ever vote. His enthusiasm on being given a vote was a sight for sore eyes and reminded me how lucky we are in countries where you get a real vote. Something to use for sure whoever you wish to vote for!
  7. is there a link, wouldnt mind reading it see what all the fuss is
  8. I've thought that as well, you grab all the powers you can get bit by bit and use them well till its such a small step no one has a second thought about taking it, at least do that in parallel to other options
  9. Correction, one of the parties was center right who was against
  10. I was just checking some of the info on that swedish referendum on the Euro, Its interesting that it seems it was the left parties and greens were against taking the euro and the parties on the right were for taking the euro
  11. Sweden deosnt seem to be in any hurry to change to the euro, it had a referendum in 2003 but decided then not to change to euro. Its maybe playing the wait and see game, I cant see the EU being able to put much pressure on them to change if they dont want to
  12. Our own currency and central Bank is most sensible option imo
  13. I think you see and hear that a lot now everywhere. People who dont really think about a viewpoint critically other than how it fits into their "group thinking/anti other group thinking" and anything said that is interpreted as being from an opposing group is shouted down without even the slightest consideration of reason, facts etc Im of the opinion and its my experience that we usually have far more in common than disagree about once you scratch the surface and have a reasonable discussion. Problem is with some people its difficult to have reasoned debate. Its possible/probable social media is the main cause of it all now
  14. Your right, I wouldnt limit it to being born in Scotland but if youve spent most your life living in Scotland id give them a vote though the logistics of that would rule it out as being plausible but you dont stop being Scottish when you move abroad and the wish for a vote is just that. Even if i fully accept its not possible or probably fair
  15. Why wouldnt I be a serious poster, is it a closed shop here for new posters or do you just want to hear opinions you agree with?
  16. maybe in the past but with the amount of Scots who moved into EU in last 20 years, i think majority would pro indy by a long way I think quite a lot of european countries allow voting from overseas, I know in some EU countries you dont get to vote in national elections unless you are a full citizen either so residency isnt enough which is a bit unfair i think
  17. surely anyone thats worn tartan or eaten shortbread should get a vote
  18. someone just arriving who might not even stay gets a vote and someone who has spent most of life in Scotland but is not resident at that time cant. but I do get the argument and accept why Scottish people not resident cant vote just would like that changed for fundamental votes like Indy
  19. That is a fair point though I think it depends on the circumstances. BTW How long do you have to have lived in Scotland to get a vote?
  20. Part of problem is the fishing rights under examination did seem a bit lopsided towards EU imo, Brexit clearly hasnt been the solution for fixing that but is it the case the quotas were in EUs countries like France and Hollands favour unfairly. Which if true ofcourse was done by westminister itself when they agreed it in the 70's but it does give the fisherman a legit case to be complaining about. Im no expert im just going on my own reading of it so whats others opinions?
  21. I think anyone born in Scotland with a UK passport should get a vote in Indy2. Just my opinion but i don't see why not
  22. I always thought a vote for Greens even years back in 80s had value as I think it did mean the mainstream parties started to adopt some Green policies based on the fact they could see the tide turning that way and it speeded up things that would have taken even longer otherwise
  23. Did E-Werk get a mention Did E-Werk get a mention in the Berlin section?
