  1. It's always fucked me off that we rely so much on free time from volunteers. Partly because it's taking advantage of people and relying on their being fans and also because we often get substandard (not Dave Mac) quality because whoever is doing it is doing it for free. Even Connor Park, who ended up a paid employee, did his role for free for ages.
  2. The most baffling thing about Ruth is that he somehow has 3 goals. I'm still not sure how.
  3. If stability of personnel means keeping Brad McKay and Ben Hall I'm not for it . The only reason we've got rid of 20 players a season is because they're brutal. Each crop is worse than the one before it. We need to sign much better players. Statement of the obvious but that's the reality. And these jokers had the nerve to trash the last managers' signings and preen about their own, which are certainly no better and arguably worse. Absolutely no idea why anyone's giving Sheerin a pass. Can only assume its because he seems like a guy you'd go for a round of golf with.
  4. I'm not sure about this. The best football I've ever watched Falkirk play was under McCall. He was only there 1 season. A lot of managers have a very short shelf life. After 2 or 3 years the team becomes stale. Even Houston is an example of that. I don't think clubs that sack managers regularly do any worse than those who stick by someone who's failing. Man Utd v Chelsea for example. Chelsea had in Lampard a Solskjaar clone - they emptied him and Tuchel has been brilliant. Stability on the park is overrated. Off the park yes, I agree. I wouldn't give any manager more than a 1 year rolling deal. They'll f**k off if they want to anyway so it doesn't protect you having them there on a long term deal.
  5. Falkirk TV is a bit like the Falkirk Herald. It's a club mouthpiece that Pravdas its way around horrific performance and results. In some ways I admire their indefatigability - takes some kind of fortitude to keep bringing a duster every week to polish a shite.
  6. 'We cannae keep sackin managers' No, good shout lads. Let's not. And if they take us nowhere and we are diabolically bad..well at least we didn't sack the manager.
  7. The chilling thing is that this is probably the high water mark for this squad. 3 games unbeaten and 5 points out of 9. Sheerin will be pleased tonight.
  8. Deluded in what way? We have a full time team with a budget far in excess of Alloa. Unfortunately we have wasted it on shite and have a manager who should be putting cones out for someone else.
  9. Being content with being 'the better team' after a home draw with Alloa is a problem.
  10. Incredibly there's still fans that back him. Absolutely baffling stuff..he's utterly clueless.
  11. Free gemmes unbeaten..COYB In there Paul son... In Sheerin We Trust
  12. Did our game kick off 3 minutes early for some reason? If the weather in falkirk is anything like Edinburgh will be a lottery today...wind is wild.
  13. I've seen several games online. It's utterly brutal. No talent. A clueless manager. Who mentioned Jeffries or McCall? I'd settle for Pressley performances at this point. Absolutely baffled at the Sheerin apologists to be honest. He's so far out of his depth he's coaching from the Mariana Trench.
  14. I won't pay to watch this product Sheerin is producing. It's utterly dreadful. Holt is the main concern and must go but I have zero interest freezing my arse off at Westfield to watch these jobbers play Sheerinball. If that makes me less of a fan and more of a customer so be it.
  15. Holt and Sheerin haven't gone so that's a no from me.
  16. The veiled reference in that leaving statement to personal and family reasons was clearly an attempt to claim the victim role. I'd have had more respect for them if they'd said they reflected on their performance in the role and realised a better standard of board member was required. The departure matched the quality of their tenure. Good riddance.
  17. Why would the Rawlins have 'a good chance of turning the club around'? They've picked dreadful people, invested nada and oversaw a diabolical product on the park. We're regressing under the Rawlins.
  18. Or that they've realised their 'business plan' was utter bobbins to begin with and we're stuck in L1 for the foreseeable unless they part with serious wedge they don't want to part with.
  19. Great. Interviews for that will be like Keith from The Office's performance appraisal
  20. Is Holt away too?? This could be better than the day Rangers died Ah sadly not. Misread a post on Mutantbook.
  21. We need a move to fan ownership a la St Mirren. Brilliant model. If any of our wealthy fans actually gave a shit about the club they'd do what the St Mirren chap Scott Wardrop (I think?) did
  22. Thank f**k I was wrong. Hopefully McFarlane will be next out the door. Very pleased to see the Rawlins going too. Didn't want you in the first place Phil...see ya.
  23. So sadly it's looking like these board resignations was someone posting a rumour for a laugh and everyone seizing on it. Disappointing.
