  1. I think this is right. I'd be very disappointed if this squad wasn't top 4. I don't think back to back titles is out of the question either as long as we start well. This is a confidence team - the way they pass and move. They need to keep winning.
  2. Ben Williamson- 'They have to lose at some point' Aye, next season Ben. And certainly not to shit like you.
  3. Hamilton really are shite. They looked terrified from minute one. We've totally broken them. Another absolute cruise today. Didn't get out of second gear and should have had 4 or 5. I fancy Alloa to win the playoffs.
  4. Having seen them a couple of times this season they really don't. They are shite.
  5. Hot takes - 1) After being on the lash for days, the league won and a letdown understandable that was a magnificent performance 2) We have to find a way to keep Dylan Tait next season. Somehow. Anyhow.
  6. How are we not absolutely rinsing this mob? Think Moses coaches their centre halves. What a reassuringly shite job Hartley is doing at Cove.
  7. I just want the Championship to start this weekend now.
  8. Morrison for me. He's been fabulous. Runner up Tam Lang. Third place John Rankin.
  9. Could be talking pish but I think that togetherness and genuine liking for each other and the young team is a reason Morrison and other signed on again. A few of our players could earn more elsewhere next season but they'd be doing so at a lesser club with less handsome fans.
  10. Looking forward to seeing who our Martin Boyle is (last man standing about 4 days after Hibs won the cup) Probably a dark horse like Finn Yeats.
  11. Feel quite emotional tonight. I know it's only League One but.. this feels special. Love this club. Magnificent bunch of lads in the squad too... hope they get absolutely maraccaed tonight.
  12. If we're signing loan players next season we absolutely have to make sure we never need to play them for any contractual reasons. Long is absolutely fucking dreadful and is a clanger a week. Lesson learned hopefully
  13. Has ever been thus. I had a season ticket in the old stand at Brockville and there was always a hearty cheer if the Currants were leading when the HT scores were announced (pre mobile phones and the internet!!) We have a healthy number of Hs without Busfare in our support.
  14. This is the beauty of winning the league in February. Can do all your summer planning now. That's a huge coup keeping Morrison after the season he's had. Genuinely stunned by that. What a brilliant week!!
  15. Why bother? It's done. Everyone knows it's done. I don't think our players are scouring P&B to become complacent because some random like me says the league is done. It's pretty similar to last season. When we lost that Dunfermline away game the league race died. That's what Saturday was. I'm in two minds about this squad. I'd like to think it would be competitive at the top half as is but that's probably wishful thinking. What our ambitions are for next season are interesting too. Its likely to be the weakest Championship for a long time if DU go up. But for a promoted team to go up and win it? That's a big ask. Interesting summer recruitment ahead. Keeping Calvin Miller seems important to me. And finding an actual goalkeeper or two is a priority. I'm assuming Morrison will leave. If he does good luck to him. He's contributed massively this season and owes us nothing.
  16. I know we're supposed to be all professional and 'take nothing for granted' but this league is over. We can start planning for a Championship season next year. We are excellent champions. We'll done to the management team and the board. I thought last summer it was massively risky keeping McGlynn but it's proved to be a masterstroke.
  17. The glimmer of hope in his eyes after the O'Hara overhead kick was saved almost makes keeping it to 3-2 worth it
  18. Excellent first half. Really tore into Hamilton which is what was needed against a team lacking in confidence. 45 mins away from being declared champions elect.
  19. Seems it's you who has comprehension difficulty. What exactly does something that did happen which some of our fans were absolutely culpable for have to do with something that didn't happen which our fans were absolutely not culpable for which you continually bring up?
  20. You keep bringing this up as a gotcha and I have no idea why. In 'Lewisgate' there was no racism. That's why the club were so fucking stupid and irresponsible by claiming there was, irrespective of the lack of evidence. Saturday night's wankery was filmed. There's no 'did it happen?' aspect to it. It clearly happened. A very very big difference.
  21. Completely agree with the folks saying this isn't a result of a singing section. Or a few banners and some organisation from a few young fellas. We've had violent wee fuds in our support since I started going in the 1970s. But that is unfortunately a convenient vehicle for them to latch onto. Its not the stadium that worries me but going to and from the game. They will very quickly find other groups of wee neds happy to accommodate their nonsense and other fans will get caught up in it. There were young kids in tears after the game yesterday absolutely terrified. That's what boils my piss. Totally selfish. I'm sure the club will come out with something well meaning in terms of a statement and may try and work with the cops to identify a few. Weeding out the very small minority of thugs is the only answer. That might take a while.
  22. I can see that game being played out a number of times next season at home when we play better well organised Championship sides. Watched it back this morning and I thought the performance was better than it seemed at the game. But we were pretty toothless. Maybe indicates a little why we need a Dylan Tait or similar in our XI.
  23. Yeah I feel for those laddies. They seem brand new.
  24. Said this a few months ago. This Ultras thing is dangerous and will end in tears when we get into the higher leagues with bigger fanbases. We want the atmosphere and the passion which has been brilliant but I fear that can't be had without the fanny element that think they're extras in a Danny Dyer film. I don't see self policing work and it's likely we end up in some Green Brigade nonsense where the fans in that section and the club end up in open warfare with bans being handed out regularly. It's a real shame as the upsides are huge from that type of support.
