  1. Don't think anyone on here is getting carried away and no-one is playing to lose. Instead I think its the complete opposite. At the moment the squad depth is not there to properly cover the (injury) loss of certain key players. The games against Dundee and Ayr are way more important (IMO). As you can see from this thread, there is a split of views on the best way foward. Would imagine OC doesnt read this nor care for any views outside his own his team and however he plays it I'll be right behind him
  2. Good point about Ayr. I think the result against Dundee will influence decisions as no points makes the Ayr game more crucial. Probably completely wrong and would explain why its Coyle and not me thats in charge. Either way I trust Coyle will make the right call.
  3. As I said earlier, money talks. If the numbers were right for everyone and there was a replacement lined up, I have no doubt - anything is possible.
  4. Surely not. Have read SM state he has aspirations to get back to Premiership. At 31, probably his last chance, would be a risky move (IMO) when at this stage both, none or either of us could go up. Clearly he will move on at some point and money talks for both the player and club (while under contract).... guess we'll see.
  5. Could be wrong but would guess the difference (£) between winning the championship (or even a top 4 position with play-off revenue) and a mid table finish is more than £20k. As others have said, not worth the risk for us IMO.
  6. Yeah completely agree. Maybe I didnt word it very well. Feel exactly the same about Inverness game
  7. Potentially injuries?? Dont think new signings can play in rescheduled match. See Peterhead got game on
  8. Fair point - not an expert but yeah sound right. Will stop moaning about Inverness game now.
  9. Cannot understand how people can say these sort of things publicly. Embarassing.
  10. Yes thats my understanding too. But the competition needs a level playing field imo. Either VAR in or out for all (or at the very least by round). Oh ffs games over now
  11. Ridiculous. Completely unfair for VAR to be used only in some games. Shambles
  12. I know Arbroath have had a poor season by recent standards but so have Motherwell and the pressure will all be on them. Got to be a reasonable chance of an upset here
  13. Hope Morton make a good account of themselves today. Hows Quitongo been for you guys. Really liked him with us but always felt he got frustrated if things not going well and started commiting unnecessary fouls. Would love to see him have a good game and grab a goal.
  14. Thinking of getting my dad home/away shirt for 80th. I've got an Irn Bru one and it comes up small. Not sure of size yet but would guess he normally takes a Large. Can anyone advise what sizing is like on the current shirt?
  15. Yeah, not great for us with Dundee the weekend before too. Probably contraversial but personally starting to feel Coyle et al need to decide our priority and set the team up accordingly
  16. 100% agree. Was hoping a bit if a run in this but not at the expense of the league. Clearly there could be a big payday in future rounds but probably not that lucky. Couldnt find anything on league standing prizes what any cup payments might be. Anyone know?
  17. So..... They need to find a team who is prepared to play there regularly, possibly whilst their own ground isnt ready ..... let me think........ emm, nope no-one comes to mind
  18. Don't disagree with any of this. I doubt any QP fan would defend whole debacle that is Lesser. Personally I would rather play at Lesser. However much as I hate it there are 2 clubs that have huge sway in Scottish football and, without getting ahead of myself, I can see them forcing a larger ground being used were that eventuality ever to arise (before a more realistic capacity is possible at Lesser). Rightly or wrongly it will inevitably be under the guise of public safety or some other issue.........
