Had this game taken place on the original date in December, I am in no doubt we would have lost. Still haunted by the Veldman era so my confidence is shot but it feels like we are in a better place. Need to keep putting points on the board and claw our way out of danger. Would be great for our GD to score a few and keep a clean sheet but a scrappy 1-0 would be as good

Queens Park are nonsense club nowadays. Should have retained their amateur status.

Callan McKenna off to Bournemouth after turning down Man Utd (according to Daily Record). Excellent for him. Need to get Ferry tied down now.

On paper, it’s a really good signing but wonder what attracted him to move to a team fighting relegation from the championship…,
Dunno and if I'm honest, don't really care. Maybe we should just do nothing ....

Having recently spent 7 extremely unpleasant weeks in Crawley recently I'd have played up here for free
Crawley is bad but most of nearby Sussex and Surrey areas are not. Also, the summers are considerably longer, drier and warmer.

They're getting quick at updating the website. Spong gone from squad page already. Strange one to release, been a regular starter, decent player and over a year left on his contract . Guess he's unhappy and Davidson doesn't see a fit. Getting a little concerned about the weekend now.
Also see Young QP (a name I never really liked) is now Queen's Park B.

I’m a bit frustrated, as the 2023/2024 SPFL Annex 1 #67 still says “Season 22/23” for the Championship/League One/League Two extension through February for the registration period. You would think they should have deleted that rule, or updated it to 23/24, but I guess that’s asking too much of the SPFL. Looks like 11PM Wednesday night is it this year.
Tried to find same the other day with same result. However came across an article on Daily Record which claims the Scottish deadline is 11:30pm.

The Courier reporting we're "running the rule" over Josh McPake. Would be a good signing, done well with QP last season.
Sounds like a bit of homework done on Holmes, mentions us seeing him when watching Moffat initially and McPake has spoken to Steven Dobbie about him.
Mmmm. McPake seemed to fall out of favour at QP. There were press reports at the time of disciplinary issues apparently resulting in Rangers releasing him from his contract at the start of the season. May be coincidence but it does make you wonder why he remains without a club

Getting slightly nervous we’re going to sign nobody this week. Davidson was trying to get a player before the weekend and yet we’ve still heard nothing since?
Club have to back Davidson this week. So much is down to money at this level and if it means paying slightly more than you want to get the right player, please do so
I don't doubt he is trying. However looking at other team threads it seems almost every other Championship team are looking for similar additions. In light of that I wonder how attractive a prospect we are at the moment. As you say we probably need to push the boat out a bit.

I see Martin O’Neil was at the game today.
Does anyone have any idea if he was a guest of QP or Ayr?
Great player and definitely experienced but surely too old

Guess as things stand Welsh now misses the Inverness game.
Not sure on the rules but am I right in thinking the club will have grounds to appeal his first yellow in the hope of getting the red rescinded ?

Try to sign before Ayr kick off according to website.
For a minute there I was wondering who this player with the surname "Try" was.

You skim 300 odd a game for 18 games a season, that's a lot of wonga not going to the tax man. It's been said for a good few seasons now the attendance figure hasn't matched what the crowds have looked like.
Pretty sure the tax man's take will be based on profit declared in the accounts rather than attendance figures

Scott Burns saying Calum Ferrie is attracting interest from down south. Surely we will be trying to extend his contract soon.

Livi are a championship team at the best.
we aren’t ready for premier league football and today proved that.
Sorry but surely you can't be serious. Livi may well be a championship team but, at present, so are you. At the moment you are one of the best teams in the league but can still lose games so today's result really isn't a reflection on your prospects. Whoever gets promoted from the Championship will strengthen and not compete in the Premier with their current team.

I’d imagine midweek. Just had a look at our fixtures and most Saturdays taken apart from the 10th February which is the next round of the cup. Airdrie are top of the list so say they don’t get past StJohnstone then it could be us and them on that day. However if they do then I could see ourselves playing that day.
Already playing midweek on Friday 23rd and Tuesday 27th so that rules out those midweeks.
Might be getting mixed up but I thought this game was rescheduled from early December. Would it therefore not be top of the list ?

Can't go wrong with McCall, though it would make him a nomad if anything, leaving clubs for others at the first opportunity
I get that the first priority is to stay in the league and you'll likely get a bit of a bounce with McCall. Would you not be concerned he would leave you [again] if a better opportunity came up. Suppose you may get compensated tho' ...... difficult one.

Courier saying last 2 games he's been an unused sub. Assume Levein wouldn't put him on bench if unable to use him.
Am not convinced Davidson sees Williamson as an appropriate option at the moment so Kane could be a decent option off the bench. You'd think it would be good for Paton to have an older head around.
