We are looking to get more depth in the squad

We got rid of Todorov and O’Hara in the summer because McPake felt we had too many forwards. Now he’s gonna go back to having four again?

There isn’t always a lot of choice in January, that is true. Our recruitment efforts are seemingly limited to former Dundee players anyway, so there is never much selection to choose from.

Yep, that's basically what I was going to reply: he has a good record in this league. He'll be better for the Premiership experience also. I think he would be a very good addition. Offers something different compared to the others as well, not just goals. He is a bit of a nuisance for defenders and awkward to deal with.

What makes him “awkward to deal with” exactly?

In his last 56 Championship appearances, he’s scored 15 goals. If that counts as a good record in this league then the standards must be remarkably low.

Rudden scored 12 for Falkirk in 31 games and scored 14 in 36 games for Partick in this division. Not bad return at this level. It's about as good as we can get in a January window.

That season with Falkirk was almost five years ago, so I’m not sure how relevant it is now tbh?

Also, those Thistle figures are not even close to accurate. Can only assume you’ve included appearances and goals for Thistle while they were in L1?

  4. Celtic at home to a Highland League side in the Scottish Cup today. A perfect opportunity to blood some of their talented young prospects in the first-team.

Oh wait, there was one Scottish player in their starting line-up and it was 26-year-old Greg Taylor.

Remember this the next time someone tries to make the ludicrous argument that ‘B’ teams are necessary to improve young Scottish players.

These clubs couldn’t give a f**k about that.

  5. We may eventually be forced to play a game of football again, which is hugely distressing after a couple of weeks blissfully free from injury-related shambles.

Our last performance at QP was certainly one of our worst of the season and we’ll need to be miles better if we are to even be competitive at Tannadice.

Would rip your arm off for a point but feel we’ll be looking at a two or three goal defeat here.

See a couple of roasters from other clubs have raised their heads, no where to be seen when we were on a 26 game unbeaten run. Just ignore the sad b*****ds.

    ^^^ absolutely raging

Sorry if no one else is impressed at you beating a bunch of part-time diddies in your fifth consecutive season in the seaside league.

Enjoyed the commentator talking about Edinburgh City looking comfortable in the SPFL. The same Edinburgh City marred with financial problems this season.

What do you mean? Teams that are “comfortable” are always having to fight winding-up petitions from HMRC!
