  1. I didn't realise mcginley was a Montrose fan. For some reason I thought he was rangers
  2. Based on pars playing both teams so far. Granted Edinburgh were 10 men but by all accounts don't think they were up to much. Alloa were unlucky not to get a draw. Based on that I reckon an alloa win.
  3. If you're at the abbey then your in the "city centre" so there are plenty of traditional pub grub places to go to. Old Inn, 7 kings, city hotel, commercial, somewhere else and spoons. There also the ballroom that do American diner sort of stuff. As for the best chippy debate. Golden chip when its open is decent, my go to is genarros on Robertson road. Brig is decent but pricey. As for sauros, it's not even the best chippy in abbeyview, Been poor for last few years imo. Still to try that place that used to be alaris tho heard it's good. As for the rest, all a bit hit n miss
  4. Alloa 2 v 0 Edinburgh Clyde 3 v 1 Kelty Dunfermline 4 v 0 Montrose Falkirk 1 v 0 Peterhead QoS 1 v 2 Airdrie
  5. A mixed bag but quite chuffed at getting 3,4,5,6th all correct.
  6. I think most will agree that on the pitch in particular, it's been a guff season as a whole. But there has surely been some highlights and lowlights of the season. I'd say more off field things will be remembered than on it Pars appointment of Peter grant,Pars board blame fans for guff results, Pars board tell fans to accept grant, Board then sack grant. Not our league but Falkirk board ... that's not a question, that's a statement Dundee appointment of Mark mcgee Falkirk and raith linked with goodwillie Raith sign Goodwillie and the world go mad except mcglynn and a few people upstairs, then try and punt him and fail.
  7. Only been to Hamilton once, that Stephen Kenny season whats the deal, how far from train station, Any decent pubs nearby ? Etc etc anything suggestions would be appreciated
  8. I think by the end of his tenure he only lost 3 games by more than 2 goals, 3-0 raith cup game (first game in charge) 5-1 raith last season. And im sure there was another game but could be wrong, also would have been last season.
  9. Forgot all about us having reilly and its just made me think. Of those 2 former pars players in the morton squad (unless Muirhead has left) Which one was more useless for pars ? Genuinely think its a tough call to make Reilly or Muirhead???
  10. This will be my first pars game since the half time whistle blew at home to Partick. Now that grant has finally been punted, I'm quite looking forward to this no doubt horrible shitfest of a 0-0. But I hope the crowd turn up as a bit of proof that we really didn't want grant and we do support the players. Hoping for a comfortable win and ohara with few goals would be pleasing
  11. i personally think that this statement will have pissed off people a lot more than just wanting the manager changed. even in the unlikely of event that the board made a U-turn and did sack grant, and they replaced him with pep, tuchal, klopp or even petrie, i cant see the fans letting this one go for a while. i personally wont be back anytime soon while grant is in charge. and even with that statement probably longer as its a dreadful way to word it and make such a dig at the fans. if any more than 1000 home fans go to the killie game then id be amazed. crowds were already on the decline, now they have just enraged a whole lot more with that 1 paragraph alone.
  12. Dunfermline 0 -4 Inverness (another pumping to finally end that useless w*nks time in charge of the pars) Hamilton 1 -1 Ayr Morton 2 - 1 Raith Rovers Thistle 1 - 2 Killie QoS 2 - 1 Arbroath
  13. The stewards in the North West on Saturday were just baffling, took the drum away, and I was also told that the seat I had paid for, I wasn't allowed to sit in it or be anywhere near it, and told just to sit/stand beside someone who wasn't a complete stranger it was blamed on parstv at first but that turned out to be bull. And there was never a reason given for the lack of drumming or why I wasn't allowed in my seat. Also not even a hint of telling anyone to sit down and keep a mask on either.
  14. Will have a go. Usually well off the mark with it tho, also haven't really kept up with signings for half the clubs but here we go 1. Dunfermline. More bias than anything, will be first to admit I wasn't happy with grant appointment. But he has assembled a very good attacking team and will be good to watch. Imagine we will be involved in alot of high scoring games too. We will outscore teams on our way to the title 2. Kilmarnock. Best manager in the league on paper but has he actually done it at this level? Always builds a solid squad that are usually hard to beat. Plenty players they have retained are to good for this division and recruitied some decent championship players but lack a proven goalscorer, I reckon we have better players in the attacking areas. 3. Inverness. Always there or thereabouts. No sure on dodds management levels but they are always solid at home and not many teams take points. Always tough opponents at eep and don't tend to concede many. 4. Partick. Mccall been there done it, just promoted and they always tend to have a decent first season back. A bit similar to our squad regarding good going forward and poor at the back. Again will be involved in some entertaining high scoring games. 5. Raith. Look solid defensively. I'm sure they lost alot of there attacking players and not too sure about the quality they have brought in as replacements. Think Vaughan will be vital for goals providing he can last the season. If he does i can see him doing well. But we all know there's every chance he misses about a third of the season injured. Decent manager and should be comfortable, more than likely I'm the fight for 4th with Partick. 6. Hamilton Haven't paid any attention on there squad at all so no idea who actually plays for them. Apart from Andy Ryan and callum Smith, 2 strikers I wouldn't be overly worried about at this level tbh. Rank pitch but they know how to play it to there advantage so should be decent enough at home to sit in the middle of the league. 7. Arbroath Cant really say much on them as its basically the same comments every season with them. Always a hard place to go and win, especially with the wind etc etc. Stuffy team with a experienced team and manager. Think there solid enough to avoid a relegation fight. 8. Q.O.T.S Always rely on a lot of loans to its always hard to set a foundation to build around. Have been fairy rank for the most part of the past 2 seasons apart that 3 month spell which propelled them up the league. Never confident of an AJ side in this league. Think they will struggle but see them being better than ayr and morton 9. Ayr Poor last season, signed a few morton players who weren't exactly any good last season either. Not sure about the rest of there recruitment but can't see much improvement from last season and will fight it out with morton for the automatic drop. 10. Morton Rank last season, probably have another small squad with little quality, similar season to last and will either be them or Ayr for the drop. All total guesswork and will no doubt be well off it again. And feel free to quote me where I'm talking guff regards to squads and players. As like I said I've not paid much attention outside pars recruitment. Seen most of killies and seeing Partick against us.
  15. Must admit. The only decent thing about this competition was when we got drawn to play Boreham wood away. The game was a brutal 0-0 (win on pens) but a trip to London for the day/night getting smashed then watching England get gubbed by Spain later that night was brilliant. B teams can do one
  16. Love the new home kit. 50/50 on the away. Will no doubt buy them both tho
